GOG's "DRM-Free Fall Insomnia Sale" - not sure when it ends.

101 games on sale, one at a time, in limited numbers. Some are free (these are going fast). Keep an eye on the front page in case a game you're interested in shows up - it's pretty clever marketing.

So what games will be on sale in our Insomnia promo? Bestselling classics and new games alike. There will also occasionally be some free games in super limited numbers (like, 20 or 30 copies)—if you're fast enough on the trigger finger to pick 'em up, that is. The deal will run from now until we're out of "stock" of games for the sale, and games may show up more than once.

      Gone in a few seconds or even sub second. So don't bother with the freebies. Still great bargains for many other games.

      I saw Wargame: European Escalation for like 5 seconds! Also Master of Magic. So yeah, they exist but you'll be lucky to catch those unless you want to spend all day watching your browser.

      I don't know whether to be impressed or frightened by the marketing smarts in this sale. Bit of both, I think…

      Saw Psychonauts and one of the Heroes of M&M games for free. Very limited copies (less than 50) and all gone within seconds.

      Yep it's slowed down a bit hey - tough crowd.

      Probably due to a few things:

      • Newer game: nostalgia factor doesn't come into it.
      • Also cos it's newish, it probably looks expensive relative to the other sale titles.
      • Europe is asleep now and probably only west coast America still up.
      • It's a sequel so you might have people who want to get the first before they look at the second.

      Bad timing, I guess…
