Cheapest way to get from Adelaide - Denver

I would like someone to share with me their favourite internet sites for checking cheap international flights from Australia to America. On an airline which isn't to disreputable.

I've been looking for flights from Adelaide to Denver (Colorado, USA). So far the cheapest way seems to be flying to Sydney/Melbourne and then taking the VAustralia ~$971 flights return to Los Angeles, and then catching a plane from there to Denver, which is ~$150 (USD).

However, after taking into account the extra flights, from ADL to MEL and then Los Angeles to Denver, it pretty much adds up to a straight flight from ADL to Denver.

  • i'm quite sure that no airline goes from any port in australia direct to denver, all/most will stop in LA or NY.
so i think you will have to go via LA. someone please correct me if i'm wrong.
if that is the case, you might have to do ADL-MEL-LA-DEN.

    • +1

Not even direct to NY. Most of the time, LA or San Francisco.

The other way to go is wait for a cheap Jetstar deal to Hawaii, then a cheap domestic special from HON-DEN.

United and Delta might have some better deals then V.

  • The website Optifly is useful in finding the ways and means of getting you to Denver.

You can actually leave Australia ex Adelaide on Air New Zealand and do ADL-AKL-SFO-DEN but is is more expensive and a longer flight.

Anyway, for convenience, have a look at:
    http://optifly.com/fr-ADL-DEN.aspx
    http://optifly.com/fr-MEL-DEN.aspx
    http://optifly.com/fr-SYD-DEN.aspx

Looking at the departing ex MEL via HNL on Jetstar you might connect onto United or US Airways to Denver (Daily).
