    Where are the sample videos?

    • +2

      just open the deal

    • +2

There's a Youtube video embedded in the deal page…

  • +1

Direct link to video sample http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQNqXnZbluE

  • Rep… You have this one that looks identical except for the G on the end of the model name

http://www.securitylab.com.au/cameras/Dash-Cameras-Australia… Product Code: MC115-1080HD (vs MC115G) for $39. Assume the difference is the Ambrella CPU in the MC115G version?

  • External media: support 32G max, TF card (the card is not included)

Sorry silly Question….what is a TF Card?

    • transflash

      the old name for MicroSD

    • You will need to buy one for just about all dashcams. Get CL10 rating for best operation.

  • +1

Can't make out any number plates more than 10 metres away even on pause.

    • +2

If you're looking at the youtube video the quality is not as good as the original video captured on the TF card.

      • Yeah I thought it was shocking 480p video too, after switching it to 1080p it looked no better.

For some reason my YouTube keeps the low quality buffered video and when I skipped ahead to non-buffered video, the 1080p quality came through.

        It looks reasonable.

  • did you watch on 1080p looked ok on 1080p you could see some number plates

  • +2
  • Guys, When you check the Video sample switch resolution to 1080P

I bought this same dash cam last time it was posted -
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/118970
You will struggle to find a better picture quality around this price. Can see number plates of cars directly in front. If you pause, most times you can see on coming plates as well.
Sydney based company also that has posted deals before with no complaints from Ozbargainers.

  • Rep, Can you do a special package price for the unit and 16gb or 32gb microSD cards?

  • It looks to be a mini usb power cable, is this correct?

    • Yes, mini USB

  • Hi Rep, how is the night vision for this model? thanks

    • with headlight it is OK

  • Does this dash cam have "parking mode"?

  • Good camera for the price. Unfortunately YouTube doesn't allow good quality even on 1080 HD (maybe it requires a paid account?). I tried posting some videos from my dash cam with the same poor result.

  • Recording quality is quite good. But number plates are hard to read if you or they are going fast. Could only read them when they are close and stationary.

I'm interested in getting a cam, but I would like to see night time recording before I decide.

  • can the rep provide an actual video file? Youtube likes to kill the quality. im sure it will help ur sales also if you have an actual full hd File to view

  • Is there a night time video?

  • Keen to see footage of night too!

  • NIght vision is quite good with headlight ON

    • any video please?

    • Does it have infrared light?

My reverse camera at night is very good, with no tail light. Because of IR. And yes, I still see colour.

  • the rep is STILL clearing the stock :p

  • where is your shop? can you do pick up to save my postage cost?
    thanks

  • Looks good. A sample video (not on youtube though, please!) of night vision would be great. Even something short just to demo it.

    Thanks. :)

  • I bought this dash cam last time.
Night vision is fine, a bit grainy. Its better on main roads with lots of street lights. If something happens at night you will be able to see it, maybe not the number plate. This is a full hd dash cam for $60ish. You will struggle to find something better around this price range. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another for this price. Even if I had $100 to spend I would still buy this.
I plan to hard wire it and fit a toggle switch on my dash so I can leave it recording when I'm in car parks.

  • Guys, the rep is trying to sell something for fifty bucks and you expect him to go out there and take some night videos for you. Like seriously?

    • I don't see where anyones demanded him to get in his car right now and make a video, they've only asked to see some night footage which he probably already has on his PC from when he tested it(otherwise how can he comment on the night quality).

      Like seriously?

      • -2

        See his reply. 'nuff said.

        • Sounds like he is making statements about video quality based purely on customer feedback.

    • I don't have a real video sample but one of my customer already gave feedack:
" Night vision is fine, a bit grainy. Its better on main roads with lots of street lights. If something happens at night you will be able to see it, "

If you are looking with good night vision you should take with IR CUT

  • I would like to order 1 but the sHipping price change to $14?

    • 7.25$ across Australia

      • it turn out i add more than 1 item :)

        thanks ordered one

  • Has anyone received there camera`s yet….
Rep it states in the title 1-2 days shipping still waiting for mine!

    • Yep, mine arrived last week. Quality is pretty good and still photos are good too.
A couple of problems though, the supplied usb plug cannot fit in as it hits the knob on the mount that tightens it.
Secondly, I have it hooked up to the cigarette lighter, but when I turn on the ignition the unit starts up, but when you start the car it turns off. So have to then manually turn it on.
Secondly, when you do turn it on, it starts up in the menu mode (charge, usb, open) so you then have to select open which starts the camera then hit the record button to start recording. Major pain in the arse.
Hey Rep, some help would be great as instructions are no help at all.
Lastly, the software also fails to install on Win7, comes up with error saying problem with serial number.

      • +1

1 - You have mounted the knob on the wrong end. Unscrew it and take the knob and thread out, and turn it around so the knob is at the other end away from the usb socket.
2 - You might be turning the key too slowly to start the car. The dash cam turns on when it receives power and off again when there is a break in power.
2 - Have you installed a micro sd card? Sounds silly, but it's the only thing i can think of that would stop it from recording.
3 - My one didn't come with software, you don't need it anyway. Just take out the micro sd card and slide it into a sd or usb adapter then put it into your computer and play the files through a media player.

        • Thanks Luke, I'll spin in around (dumbass I am)
I have a diesel, so can't start straight away, but it doesn't start recording anyway. Just goes to the menu screen which gives me the shits.
Yep, have a 32gb card installed and at the moment just pull it out and whack it into my PC.
If I can just get it to miss the menu and start recording I'd be a happy chappy.
