Hold on here. You need to sign up to something (expensive?) to get the "free" meeting? OzBargainers aren't that dumb. The problem with this is it provides artificial incentive for the person to sign up to something that otherwise might not be in their best interests. This makes me question exactly how impartial this financial advice will be.
I'm not sure that is quite correct.
The way I read it;
* The initial consult is free (it's a sales pitch!)
* If you buy life insurance, they'll give you a free financial plan + a discount on the premiums.If you're in the market for insurance, it can't hurt to take a look. As always, don't go with just one quote.
Hi Jazoom
The meeting is free and no obligation. If you want the financial plan, yes you would need to implement some insurances. Insurances can be funded in various ways including from your super if it is appropriate for your needs. A Financial Planner will help you ascertain the right type of insurances and level of cover for you. The 10% off life or income protection insurance premiums is a genuine offer. We can choose from various insurance providers, including some of the big banks.
Thanks
probably not a bad idea to look at life insurance guys being obligation free (until you sign up to something)… seen heaps of cases where it has saved the lives of people (to pay for urgent medical costs upon diagnosis) or has made a big difference (financially) to during the worst times… his also going to have a look at your super and investment stuff as well to see if you're doing the right thing… the missus is a financial "adviser" as she calls it and she usually charges at least $3k for a plan like this.
"If you implement any insurances recommended to you, you will get a free financial plan + 10% off your insurance premiums."
Sounds like more of an advertisement than a bargain. No idea how much these insurances cost, and how they compare to your competitors, until a meeting has occurred.
Misleading title, should say:
Brisbane/Ipswich Region Only: 10% off Life Insurance or Income Protection, Free Financial Plan with policy
Thank you Mark F, we have amended the title as you suggested. The 10 % off insurances is a genuine offer, we use various insurance providers including some of the big banks. The meeting is no obligation, but if you want the financial plan you would have to implement some insurances.
Really?
