Hi
Anyone had any recent experiences from IT Estate (Am keen to buy stuff from there but Whirlpool says it's dodgy but that was from ~6 years ago)

    Bought a few parts from them before on sale, all were fine :) Not sure how their service and stuff is, but nothing dodgy.

      Took a chance but just to be sure I paid with a Credit Card and took a 2% surcharge (Chargeback if necessary)

    They're definitely not dodgy. Used them about 5 years ago and then 2 years ago. Prices about the same as MSY. You can actually get through on the phone to check stock and there's no queue when you get there.

    Interestingly they seem to offer free Fastway delivery on pretty much everything I just checked now.
    Not sure if pricing has increased.

      Yep it's free Sydney Metro delivery.

      They undercut MSY by $5 on a Motherboard that I wanted to buy so I decided to pay $2.50 on surcharge and still save that much.

      Next time I'll use Direct Deposit :)

      I don't think they are dodgy. They have a physical premises and seemed to do service/warranty checks on premise.

      They seened to have a lot of stock on-hand and provide tax invoices, etc. Everything seemed to be legitimate and everything I've bought (motherboards, hard-drives, CPUs, video cards, memory, etc) seemed to work. Never had to do a warranty claim.

      They provide tax invoices, havea an ABN, etc.

    Bought a few hard drives from them early this year. Placed order online and pay and pick up in store. All fine.

    Just called them about the XFX 280X Black edition deal I'd ordered from here (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/122314) because it went back to pending after being on order. but it turns out that they can't get those any more. I'm being 'upgraded' to a Gigabyte 280X now. Anyone else have a similar experience?

    Their online availability status leaves a lot to be desired. I placed an order for an 'Availability:Yes' item over a week ago and have only just found out that they don't actually have it in stock. Still waiting to find out when I will receive my order.

    Best to call and find out if they have stock but have bought plenty off them. Very reasonable prices
