BigW Handing out Spend $100 Get $10 off & Spend $50 Get $5 off Coupons Today

70

I was at BigW belmont WA today to buy 8 cartons of water for $6 each and at the checkouts they where handing out these vouchers. I only spent $48 so the lady had to mark the $5 off $50 spend voucher.

See the T&C's, you must surrender the voucher so they are trusting people not to print these off and use them at the self service checkouts.

Offer valid from 10 November 2013 ….. may not be redeemed on the day the customer receives the coupon ….. Original coupons only

So basically to use this deal you have to first buy something from Big W in order to get an original coupon at the checkout and then you have to go back another day to use it on another purchase?

Can anyone confirm if these are being handed out across stores Australia wide?

Or you could ask someone who doesn't want theirs to give it to you…

I want to get the Vita today.

Seems to be the gist of it.. handy if anything from today's 1 day sale appeals to you. I am guessing its nationwide since the T&C's don't say anything about states or participating stores but if you want to be sure wait for someone else to confirm.

      • Well I might go check out my local store. If I can get a further $10 knocked of the Vita then I might just grab the non-3G version now instead of waiting for the $199 3G deal at EB Games later this month.

It does say that the coupon isn't valid until from tomorrow, but OP was able to use it even without actually spending the full $50 so maybe I'll get lucky too :D

        • I didn't use the coupon. She said I don't get the $50 one since I didn't spend $50 and it doesn't become valid until tomorrow.

        • Oh wait you are the OP :D

Anyway, I'm even more confused now about how exactly this works. I thought you meant that you got the $5 off and that's why she marked that coupon so you couldn't use it again.

In the terms it doesn't say anything about having to pre-qualify so shouldn't they just give you the coupons now and then you are free to use them over the next couple weeks as long as you spend the required amount?

Makes little sense to me why you wouldn't qualify to receive the $50 coupon due to not spending $50, but you do get the $100 coupon even though you didn't spend that much.

        • I just bought that deal online. I don't think you can get it in store.

And in Victoria the only 2 stores available for click n collect are very far out of metro Melb.

        • Yeah that's the deal I was interested in, but now I think I might just wait 3 weeks and get the 3G version from EB Games for $11 more.

Edit: Oh wait, Big W is now doing the 3G version for $188 also. Ok I guess I will buy something today :D

        • They are handing out the coupons if you buy anything today. The coupons are for use from tomorrow.

Everyone gets the spend $100 get $10 off coupon. On the reverse is a spend $50 get $5 off coupon, if you spend less than $50 today they mark the barcode so you can't use it.

Also I think the vita 3g is available for $188 + $5 delivery at BigW if you don't want to wait for EB Games. You can't however use the coupon online.

Edit: One minute ago it was available but now its not.. sorry.. I still have one in my shopping cart but I dont want one.

Buy something cheap. Get the coupon.

Go back in, buy what you really wanted to get.

      Profit.

      • Go back in

        Make that…

        Go back in tomorrow.

        • Well you can't have everything.

  • Not where I am - the only person handing them out was the lady who checks bags as people exit - she was more than happy to give them to people as they left (without purchase), but no coupons being handed out at the checkouts - I had to sneakily reach over the service desk and grab one as the opportunity was there (and I spent more than $150)

  • i wonder if you just go through self serve the scanned copy would work or not?

    • I would imagine so, haven't tested it but. Nothing to loose trying.

    • Just tried scanning the printout at the pricecheckers and it couldn't pick it up.
May be my print, but I dont think the current image will work.

If there was a clearer image front on to the barcode, it would probably work.
      Anyone…?
