EB Games Xmas Sale

Noticed the EB near me, woden, canberra, has put up christmas prices (with little christmas decoration stickers).

Lots of older xbox360/ps3 games for cheap (saw quite a lot for 4-20 bucks), strategy guides had a few dollars off, as did the art of blizzard books.

I grabbed a copy of kid icarus for 3DS, with the stands and Skyrim for xbox360 gfor 28 bucks each (need to do all that skyrim dlc before the next gen). - Think Kid Icarus will be on sale on 3DS shop this week, but I have my doubts about it being cheaper.

Just letting you guys know it's worth checking out, esp at the start before they clear out a lot of stock.
Let me/us know if you see anything worth picking up for cheap.

    Is it just me or does EB like ALWAYS have a sale. I've never walked past my local EB without their posters and SALE signs everywhere.

      More often than not though, their sales are shitty sales. Eg. Tomb Raider PS3 regular price $49, clearance sale price - $46. What kind of bullshit clearance is that?

        Yeah, exactly what I'm trying to say.

        It's more a marketing exercise really, just reducing the margins a little and getting a larger number of sales and more people in the store, but they're overdoing it.

          Doesn't almost every retail store nowadays have sale posters up all over the place? I know my local shopping centres are like that… "ooh, look another sale…" :(

    Yeah I noticed some pretty big discounts this time though, might be due to the arrival of the next gen, trying to actually get rid of some stuff now.
