Universal Remotes

HI Guys,

Currently have a logitech Harmony 600 and thinking it's time to upgrade

a) what is the best Universal remote out there (pretty happy with the logitech one and not over priced.)
b) best place/price to get them. ( I know logitech used to have excellent specials all the time, but haven't seen one for quite some time)

      biggest issue i have with it is the way it eats through batteries - but generally no, quite happy with it (Actually questioned the need to upgrade, when I made the post)

        Perhaps just buy better lasting batteries? How often is it eating through batteries? I've got the 650 and 3 months in - still on the original batteries.

          Great remote - the 650, that is.

          Or maybe try (1) turn off the motion sensor and (2) set the backlight timer setting to 10 seconds / the shortest time available.

          This is for the 650 though, not sure if it's the same for the 600?

    I haven't been impressed with the short life of the buttons on my Logitech Harmony 515. Is this a common problem with all the Logitech range?

    I have both a cheapie and the more expensive rechargeable one. Very happy with battery life on both. For convenience though, if you find the one with a charging cradle at a cheap price, I'd get another one of those first.
