MBA is good for basic gaming, but with the 128GB SSD you'd struggle if you choose to dual boot Windows 7/8 with very few games, unless you're willing to splash around $200 more and go the 256GB model… And the same price you could get a Macbook Pro and later down the track max out the RAM, remove the optical drive and install a caddy with an SSD.
Look at the Dell Clearance Centre. You can spend 1000 on a laptop worth twice that. Refurbs but come with full Dell business warrenty.

Go for MacBook Air 13 inches. You won't go wrong with this. this will be able to handle even casual games with excellent battery life and portability.
