It is also beneficial for anyone who wants to know the professional formats used in game writing; and includes a dozen downloadable writing templates that are specific to the interactive game industry. The object of this course is to complete a game writing portfolio and find game writing jobs."

She's got no companies/games listed in her Udemy bio.

Her Linked In (if I've got the right one) says she's a "Game Designer at Play Sanctuary Games" but I can't find them in the first couple of pages of Google results.

Her educational qualifications are listed as "University of Advancing Technology, Tunghai University, Brigham Young University…". One has a grammatical error in its title, one I've never heard of, and I'm pretty sure Brigham Young still teach that the Earth is 4,000 years old and that cavemen rode dinosaurs - just like on The Flintstones.

  • I found her LinkedIn profile though.

I signed up anyway. I want to learn about creating and writing video games.

I honestly think playing them would be a more worthwhile induction into video game design than reading 25 lectures written by a girl who likes games.

Anyway, most gamers here could come up with the plot for a triple-A FPS blockbuster over a coffee. Just find the world's latest stomping ground for US Marines, throw in the manifestation of every 16 year old's ideal of masculinity (shaved head, obvious steroid user, voice that only registers in the ELF frequency range), and have him single-handedly save us all from some existential threat while uttering dry and cynical one-liners delivered with the emotional variety of Keanu Reeves in the Matrix. Bonus points for "edgy" scenes that present "moral" choices to the player that have no relevance; oops I killed a civilian, this will haunt me forever… nek minnit… turns a squad of Russians/Arabs into pink mist with explosives and doesn't blink, eats breakfast and gets on with the rest of his day.
