Hong Kong, Vietnam Non Direct flights are still $1000 return in Decemeber? Not that great tbh.

    • Thats peak season. Still cheap for then…

  • Very keen on this deal but I don't have an American Express card. How long does it take to get one and which one should I get? Is it worth using it to travel around Asia?

  • Good deal but as you said it's not really quite 20% off because it's only off the actual air ticket - not the taxes or surchages, etc. I had flights for about 169 PER-SIN and it came down to 150 so a little over 10% in reality.

i wonder if scoot charge extra compared for AMEX to regular Visa/Mastercards …as most places do

if it does that does dwindle down the savings even more

  • Can someone post the direct Scoot link? I can't seem to click on the deal from the amexconnect website?

just bung the code in the promo code box when selecting dates on the flyscoot website.

… could this mean you can pay using a non-amex ??

      • Can't get the code to work

  • LINK dont work in the Amex page. cant find the page in check out to enter the promo code. Can someone shed some light please. thanks

Come on guys, http://www.flyscoot.com/ and the promo code is listed right next to the search button. Maybe this deal needs an IQ test ;)

    • Tried it with and without the code, SYD-SIN 12 Dec, same price?

      • Works for me The bag + food option is actually cheaper than just a bag on the way back for some reason.

      • i get the same also for 12th
there is a some small print at bottom of page.

seats are limited and may not be available on all flights or all dates

i dont know how else to explain it

  • "The discount applies to the price of the air ticket only, for travel on Scoot out of Perth, Sydney and Gold Coast to any Scoot destination between now and 31 March 2014."

I searched for Sydney/Singapore return, and it seems to be taking the discount off the prices 'from' Singapore to Sydney..

    • its both ways, just decides if they have specials still for your flight

  • You must purchase the offer using a bank issued American Express® Card during the offer period

Does this mean you cant use an Amex card that you have obtained through directly applying for one on their website?

    • Actually it doesn't say bank issued amex only on flyscoot site.

  • Yea only bank issued. My AMEX wasn't accepted.

  • Is it an issue to pay for the air ticket using a friend's Amex card? Will they need to see the card at the airport as part of the ID verification? I've read this somewhere (some other airline) but can't remember the details.

    • I was thinking the same thing. Not going to risk it in case.
