I have lost my glasses. I cannot drive safely without them and I need to drive from Brisbane by thursday. where could I go on Monday to get new glasses quickly (with photo sensitive lens prefer)

Wow ! thanks I dont know anything about contact lenses can I just go to any Optometrist with my prescription?
Think they make you do a fit test on your first visit which is important so you chose the right fit. though I'm not sure what Costs if any that has. Check out your local.
Normal glasses usually take about a week to have the lenses fit in my previous experience with Specsavers.
You can try Lens Pro. If they have the correct lenses in stock they can get them done in the same day.
thanks I hadn't heard of them. Their web page says they can fit in one hour.
went to lens pro with old frames. they fitted in 15 mins new lens

It annoys the hell out of me that it takes 1 week min, as long as 3 weeks to get your lens replaced at the Optometrist, then another day or 2 to fit them in.
One lazy a'ss Optometrist/owner asked me to come in the next day, despite having the lens all day (assistant told me), it was lunch time, but the store wasn't busy.
the lens had the anti glare coating and cost $128 but transition lens would take 7 days
This 8 year old thread saved my arse, Spec Savers said 2 weeks, Lens Pro sorted me within 30 mins of an eye test!
Best thing to get some contact lenses can get them over the counter usually and keep for emergency
