Looks like the Expedia Jp jetstar cheap flights loophole is no longer. Tried a few dummy bookings on expedia jp and prices are the same if not more expensive then Jetstar website. :(
Expedia Japan Jetstar no longer?

Sure you're not mixing up expedia.br and jetstar.co.jp?
I'm sure
ya they used to have cheap domestic flight even to NZ..
I couldn't find it eitherI am about to book at flight gold coast to melbourne.
Jetstar.com $338
Expedia Japan $306 (xe.com conversion)Still a slight saving, but not as much as my Bne-Syd $80 saving in september!
Definitely still an absolute bargain through Expedia Japan…just checked some flights this morning…i'll give you an example.
For our little family of 5…Adelaide to KL return was $2054 AUD via Air Asia's website.
Expedia Japan, same dates, same airline (Air Asia), same flight times was $443 AUD.
Thats a saving of $1611!!!!
Tried a couple of other options for flights and again, significant savings. Eg. KL to Hong Kong return (via Air Asia website) was $991 AUD but via Expedia Japan (same flight times, airline, dates etc) and it was $191 AUD!!!
Ridiculous! They haven't released flights for Dec 14 yet so we're unable to book but Expedia Japan will definitely be the cheaper option by far for us.
Note that its not always this cheap because I checked my dad's flight from adel-japan which he booked through his travel agent and it was comparable via expedia japan. But always worth checking expedia japan first just in case you can save 80% of the airfares like in our case!
Just wondering if these tickets are upgradeable on Option Town or not?
That would be the icing on the cake. JoyVI would say so
Even if they aren't you can still upgrade onboard for only slightly more.
I booked a ticket ADL - MEL return a few days ago. 170AUD through expedia jp and 208$ through Jetstar AU
Made another booking Adelaide to Melbourne
Jetstar 3x tickets = 267AUD
Expedia Japan = 225AUD
Total saving 42$ = 16%I tried the Melbourne-ADL leg which was 49$ x 3 (cheapest fare). Expedia fare was marginally more when taking into account the CC charges.
So booked this leg on jetstar with POLI.
wasn't really a loophole - higher aussie dollar combined with low yen meant cheaper prices. but exchange rates have changed
