$5 back from paypal

If you don't get your $5 off from paypal for ebay purchases, you just have to email them. Here is the reply I got when I emailed… Log into paypal, and email from there.

Thank you for contacting PayPal, my name is Tonia and I am happy to assist you today.

I do apologize for you not receiving the $5.00 off promo with your purchase. I have requested for a $5.00 credit to be given to you in your PayPal account balance. Please do allow up to 72 hours for this to appear.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.

    So, how does this work? I imagine it can't be just any ebay purchase, what items qualify for this $5 off?

    Yep. Any item I think. I think you only get 1 x $5 back per account though. I bought a used bike helmet for my $5 back. You won't get he $5 back unless you ask for it though. It is supposed to happen automatically, but doesn't seem to.

    A bit more information:

    I've got an email back from PayPal and they state that the $5 is a deduction off the shipping value of your order and not the product cost.

    So if there was not shipping cost, such as mine as it was electronic, then you will not receive a discount or credit to your account.

    From what I can remember from the original post, if you make a purchase on ebay using PayPal before the 29th of September(??) you will receive a discount of $5 on your purchase shipping charge.

    Please note that only a pool of $20,000 has been allocated for this promotion, and that the $5 will only come off the product shipping price and not the product purchase prices. Meaning that if you purchased something that is delivered without shipping, then you will not get a discount.

    Thanks for all the feedback. But after emailing them, I was turned down. Possibly only for new users.
