Duracell 10pk "D" or "C" Batteries $9.99 at Bunnings

120

I was in my local Bunnings yesterday and noticed they had packs of 10 D or C Duracell batteries on clearance for $9.99.
I normally pay about $10 for just the 4 pack in C's and D's so figured this was a pretty good deal.
My local (Oxendford) had a fair few left. I'm assuming its a national clearance but can't confirm.

It's probably limited to your local store. Clearance items at bunnings are generally store specific.

These batteries must be expiring soon?

    • Mine are dated best before 2022. I think its more the pack is not a standard pack as its 10 batteries in a long single row.
I haven't seen them before so maybe it was a bunnings special?

  • What do you use D's in these days?

    • Guitar effect pedals for me. No joke you can spend $100s of dollars per year on D batteries for them until you fork out $200+ on an independent power supply. Made the move over a couple of years ago, but gee whiz I spent a lot of money on those D batteries.

Interestingly enough, even though independent power supplies are generally fine for live situations, the D batteries are still good to keep around for recording where there can be mains power stuff affecting the tone. That's just one example of how anal guitarists/musicians can get.

        Why not eneloops and spacers?

        • Never said musos were that smart!

    • Vibrators
Everyone knows what you're buying them for so don't be too eager.

      • (dupe)

      • I haven't see a single product in that category which uses D cells. Rechargeable or n cells seem to be the better products?

You need them for your Batons .. I mean 5D/6D Maglite Torches :)

  • Might not be comparable but GBO parramatta Westfield sells 2 Panasonic D batteries for $2. Haven't tried them myself so I can't vouch for their reliability.
