Hi everyone, I currently bought a blackberry Z10 from the previous deal of Mobileciti. They states that the phone is unbranded but the first time when i turned the phone on it showed a Telstra logo (not anymore after this). I told them and they still confirmed that it is unbranded. Because i have never seen the blue tick before so i thought the blue tick on the package is the "A tick". But yesterday when i came in to Telstra shop and had a little chat with the staff, they said just only Telstra phone has the blue tick one. Is there anyone got a blue tick Z10 as well or just me? I trust mobileciti because my HTC 8X which i bought from them still works great but get confused now. Sorry for my bad english.
Blackberry Z10 from Mobileciti: Unbrand or Telstra?

A Tick = Certified compliance to (ACMA) Australian Standards by an authorised tester.
http://www.acma.gov.au/Industry/Suppliers/Supplier-resources…Blue Tick is a Telstra rating (as mentioned above by masterScythe) It's indicates that the device + selected firmware version give you the best coverage in rural/regional areas.
http://www.bit.com.au/News/338821,list-of-phones-with-the-te…What they might mean by unbranded, is that they've re-flashed the Z10 with generic RIM firmware & not the Telstra customised version which usually includes Telstra Apps, bookmarks & other things which you may or may not find useful. This can still show the Telstra logo doing boot.
Bluetick is a telstra rating, which means 'reception is above average in poor coverage areas'.
An unbranded phone means there is no branding on the phone body itself.
What you have is an officially unlocked Telstra phone; they've marked it to unlock, which, aftr the first boot, it does, and stops showing its branding.
I worked for a telco a few years ago and this is very common practice.
To be honest, I'd be happier with ex-telstra stock (which you know is Australian) than a completely 'unbranded' phone which could be an import from anywhere.
EDIT:
From the telstra website:
"To help you select the right mobile handset for your needs, we have a number of handsets that are recommended for rural handheld coverage. These mobile handsets are recommended if you want to maximise your coverage experience and are identified with the Blue Tick symbol."
So be happy, you have guaranteed Australian Delivered stock, which is completely unlocked.
