So I was planing on buying a gpu from amazon( http://goo.gl/7Etiy4) as I am getting a few parts from there. The gpu comes withe 3 free games but I'm not if the deal applies as I'm in Australia. Can anyone who's bought a gpu with the same deal tell me if the applies to Australia. Also if you have any gpu recommendations for me that would be much appreciated my budget is $360.

The R9-280X is exactly the same as the 7970. It is just the new name, and the default clocks have changed (but most don't run default anyway).
As such, the card the OP linked is a much better deal.
As for stability both are equally bad at introducing new bugs with each release in my experience.
As I understand, yes it will work. I haven't tried it myself though.
Not sure about the games, but as for the GPU itself the best bang-for-your-buck at the moment I believe is the AMD R9-280X.
Performs on par with the $500 gtx770, but costs ~$380

I've never owned a radeon before but if I were to buy a card now it would 100% be one of these fellas.
