Any deals going on TV's around the 55"-60" preferrerrably under $1200.

Kogan has some 55" models for around $800. See here, here and here. Delivery is about $43 to Melbourne.

60" you could try Changhong for $1043 delivered or an LG for $1141 delivered.

there are plenty

you really need to be more specific on your needs
plasma or LED
any brands you dont want

for that price range and size you are more than likely not going to get 3d or smart TV
is this OK?

  I have linked to a Kogan 55" and a Changhong 60" that are both 3D Smart TV and under $1200. Granted, not the most desirable brands.
