  • Put's console at around 160ish, pretty good for a 250.

  • I thought the title was just a typo (Fifa 4) but then you also wrote it in the description as well.. But then realised you just copied and pasted it again haha.

  • Via download. Is that just Tomb Raider or all 4 games?

    • @unity1
      Just for Tomb Raider

      • +3

Thanks, just confirmed that with a local store. By the way they only had one. I dare say if everyone tries to place click and collect orders on Thursday this is going to end in tears.

  • +4

I know the 'last gen' consoles still have all the big titles… But it is no longer the same thing.

      Fake pic sorry buddy.

      • There are plenty of images and videos showing the differences.

This is a good deal, all I am saying is it might not be suited to those who want to play the latest games… Of course the alternative is a XBone/PS4/PC which will set you back significantly more than this.

      • -1

It's not fake, it's Battlefield 4 running on eight year old hardware. Pretty impressive still by any means.

        • It IS. There is texture there on 360.

Actually, it's an open beta running on eight year old hardware… The final product will look visually identical to the PC port - from 5-10 meters away. :)

        • Dreaming.

Fair point, but find me a $288 computer that will play modern games, then you've got an equal comparison.

I'm being an immature tool about this, I'm 100% fo' serious. If I had any friends, I would totally recommend this.

      Fixed!

    • -2

Totally agreed man, all it needs is a headset with "nigger hater" printed on the size of it and pwnz0r on it or something lol
(I can assure you, I am using the horrible language, I am however not the type of person to say that kind of rubbish)

      • I suppose it could use Call of Duty: Ghosts for the true meathead experience.

  • Take your own risk when buy from DSE online. Bought the Wii U console when they had 50% off deal, later they emailed me they have no stock, so I requested for refund. After 1 month, they are not giving me the stock nor the refund. Now I'm escalating this to Paypal.

    • It's best to open a Paypal dispute at the first sign that there is a problem. You will find Paypal will resolve the dispute in your favour even before DS begins to sort out the issue from their side.

      • +1

Yeah, it's a easy mistake to make, but definitely escalate the dispute as quick as you can

        • +5

Wasn't expecting big company like DSE will be doing dodge thing like this. Tried my best to resolve the issue with DSE, called them and emailed them but they closed the ticket twice without doing anything. Very disappointed with DSE.

        • +3

Rubbish to say it's an easy mistake for a company to make. If DSE want to claim an item is in stock, they should take all possible safeguards to ensure it is in stock, prior to billing their customers. It would seem that DSE use the old 'online stock levels only get updated every x minutes' as an excuse to benefit themselves financially - they'd surely be earning solid interest on those funds given the often extended refund times. Needless to say, associates of DSE will probably jump on here and attempt to neg this comment into oblivion, so I would encourage anyone who has been in a similar situation to plus this comment (and similar ones too).

        • Must be a DS rep on here. You are going to run out of your negs soon. I would really like to hear your reason for negging these comments.

        • Sorry - your comment was valid regarding opening a PayPal case - my mistake.

        • +1

Horror stories with DSE online is not a false claim. I was a victim a couple of weeks back with Kindle Fire HD 8.9 deal. It took MANY calls and emails and facebook messages to solve this issue.

If you keep persisting, they will give your money back, but otherwise, they are fairly happy to keep it. It's disgusting.

        • +1

This is the best way to get your money back in a timely manner, otherwise you could be waiting weeks and weeks before DS take action themselves. It is wrong for any company to take your money immediately but take weeks to give it back.

That's the whole point of disputing a transaction. You should not have to ask over and over for a refund. Get on the front foot and exercise your consumer rights.

        • Funnily enough, when I had my issue, they didn't even have Paypal as an option which made it a LOT harder to do. Anyway, best of luck with everyone who has ordered already.

        • +1

To be fair to DS most things I order arrive very quickly and in good order. However, when things go wrong, they really go wrong.

Where possible I like to go into a store and make my purchase. You can sort out any issue before leaving the shop. I have always found their shop staff very helpful, well mannered and very professional. It's their online staff and support that really let them down.

        • +1

I agree - their store staff are often very professional. However, a better test of professionalism is how stores handle issues that occur after leaving the shop. The only bad DSE store in NSW I've ever been to is Broadway - extremely rude staff there. Had an item placed on Click and Collect, and I called up in the morning and asked if they'd honour the sale (as it was around 48 hours since booking). They looked up my booking and said all was fine. So I went in around midday, and was told they knew nothing of the earlier conversation. To make matters worse, even though they still had the item on hold, they refused to sell it to me at the discounted price (as the sale just ended the prior day). We're talking a $15 saving - not much really. I stood there and argued with them, then was spoken to in a rude tone (in front of other customers) by an Asian looking staff member (he claimed to be the supervisor) who stated I should have read the Terms and Conditions. I just walked away in the end thinking how could anyone hire this joke. Then on another day at Broadway, I had an item I wanted refunded (bought from a different remote DSE store and found it was used inside box and not brand new) which they refused to refund (would only provide store credit). Their reasoning was that they could not verify my claim. I told them to simply phone the DSE store (of my original purchase) but I was told by the staff that the original store would need to visually inspect the item. This was after the original DSE store agreed to refund in full over the phone with me. Once again, I could not be bothered arguing my case, so I took the store credit. Considering JB Hifi are only two store across, you'd think they'd treat customers better.

        • I completely agree with you, knight003
I'd of probably done just the same as you did

    • Could not agree with you more as I suffered a similar fate with DSE. They sure have some very good bargains from time to time, but it's a pure lottery when it comes to receiving your allocation. They claim to have stock, take your funds, and then claim they're out of stock. For me it's happened on more than one occasion, whilst dealing with DSE through their website. The most accurate way to determine goods in stock with DSE is to phone them - never rely on their website.

    • be quick you have only 45 days with Paypal…

  • I'm actually quite envious of anyone that hasn't already played halo 4/tomb raider

    • was watching the playthrough for tomb raider online, gameplay didn't seems all that unique. but of an uncharted themed thing, interesting story though.

      • The story was crap and I figured out the ending midway through the game. The gameplay is good though and I love the bow and arrow, my favourite weapon in the game.

        • lol it was quite generic and cliché, but i enjoyed it. i also love how she's just a normal girl in the beginning but the first instance there is a bad guy she becomes a cold blooded killer like she's been doing it her whole life.

yeh some of the interactions with the objects in the game are pretty cool.

        • she is NEVER a "normal" girl.

      • +1

I like how Uncharted 1 was a Tomb Raider ripoff, and now Tomb Raider is an Uncharted ripoff. Oh sweet irony.

ive had problems with dse online in the past.
    porr quality control.
    radio lasted 2 weeks
at the first sign of problems contact your bank otherwise dse can drag it out for months.

  • i think people should also note that x360 games obviously wont play on the new xbox one (and ps4 etc) however there are bound to be emulations of x360 hits available to download…so i wouldnt get to atatched to old favourites.

  • How much is the ps3 deal in the picture

Why buy xbox 360 now? #nooblogic

    • +3

      Because it's cheap.

    • +5

Not everyone feels the need to buy the latest console on day one.

This is great value and then there's the massive back catalogue of games to boot.

      • Now you are buying something in great value for money.

      • Do you think the new gaming consoles are worth the wait? (I am not a gamer and dont own a gaming console)

        • In my opinion, no.

Like others have said, there's a massive back catalog of games to play and especially on the Xbox 360, games are a lot cheaper than the other platforms (for older games before ~2011 in general).

    • Why use hashtags on a site that doesn't offer that functionality? #nooblogic

    • i think because you can buy the games now and when the xbox 1 comes out you cant buy the old 360 games which sucks big time!

  • Anyone has experience to swap the game titles instore? say fifa 14 to gta v for example.

    • I just picked up one of these combos and it was fixed, ie no substitution of games allowed.

      • Eb games may price match the deal, then give u trade in value of the game..ie $10.
        Ebay em
