Cheap storage options in Sydeny

Hi OzBarginers,

I was hoping people could heap me out in finding some storage. I will be travelling for 24months and need to store somethings during this time. Approximately 2mx2m worth of stuff give or take. I have looked at Kennards etc and they price around $60 for on 1mx1m box. I have also looked and TaxiBox http://www.taxiboxmobileselfstorage.com.au and smartbox www.smartbox2u.com.au. I like the idea of the smartbox option but for $140+ a month seems quite step. Has anyone used any storage places for similar purposes and found a good deal?

    Is it possible to store the stuff outside Sydney?
    I saw some online prices that showed storage in Orange (3-4hours from Sydney) at half of city prices.
    If you aren't touching it for two years it would be worth the hassle and even renting a trailer etc. to get it there for the savings.
    And can you shrink the amount further? Furniture etc. will be cheaper to sell now and buy again in 2yrs 2nd hand than store.

    CBD Storage is like $70 per month for one unit - unsure of size.
    I was just there on the weekend - CBD Storage - one of their locations - World Square Shopping Centre Level P6 - one extra large suitcase for $33/month. I didn't get insurance which is like $54 for every 3 months.
