Lancer rallyart(s) with 2.0L turbo, DSG & AWD (see a golf GTI do that) for 32.5K drive away in BNE
WITH 10k of 'extras'

* bodykitIf nothing else use it as leverage, but take one for a drive as well as a golf, the rallyart is the better of the two even before price!
The new golf has a 7 speed as to the RA 6. Fuel (despite stickers) the GTI is thirsty unless nursed the RA gives 7l/100km on the HW and 9's on the burbs (11+ driven hard for a while, the golf does about the same even with the extra gear)
CRUZE 1.4T/1.6T, FOCUS 2.0TDI DSG & ST version of the hot hatch are all cars you should check over too for new. The GTI is way overpriced and the VW servicing stories of repairs costing 10k on a new car should scare the crap out of you!
Which Dealer? $32.5k drive-away is a seriously awesome price! Is it a run-out model?

sticker price never includes 'cost of ownership' - I would like a VW too but have concerns re servicing / parts etc

Before purchasing, it might be worthwhile having a hunt around regarding this model car. You might be surprised at the volume of complaints regarding them.
