My bad luck/good luck PS3 YLOD story.

First time poster, but felt I had to share my bad luck/good luck bargain story.

So on Tuesday night, my launch model PS3 finally carked it while playing GTA V, the dreaded YLOD. I mourned for her, then went about looking for a replacement. I was reluctantly about to jump on the Big W sale (which I found on OzBargrain), which was a 12gb system + Tomb Raider for $199. I thought, hey, I can just sell the game to make some money back, but then i'll have to buy a stupid hard drive caddy so that I can upgrade the storage. It'd be annoying, but it's the best deal going at the moment… That is until I lucked upon the Target Online website and found this beauty:

I couldn't believe my luck… It must have been an old launch model SKU bundle for the 'New look super slim 500gb' from last year, and since it's got last year's Fifa packed in they probably can't sell the thing at full price anymore. I jumped on it, ordered it, and once I did it went to 'Sold Out' on the site, so I must have got the last or only unit.

So long story short, I was pretty devastated to lose my launch model PS3, especially so close to the PS4 launch, but I was able to snag a ridiculous bargain to make me feel a little better about the whole situation!
