Pre-Order Aussie Animal Books (Limited Number)

240

Hello all, if you missed out getting an aussie animal book from woolworths, and your kids need one. Dont get ripped off by ordering it from Ebay. Woolworths is re-printing them.

http://www2.woolworthsonline.com.au/shop/seasonal/aussie-ani…

Not your typical deal or freebie, but I know quite a few people that are on the hunt for these..

(Edit) if you have spare cards perhaps check out here…

  • Thanks addict. Appreciate.

    and for the lulz www.ebay.com.au/itm/UNIQUE-NEW-Woolworths-Taronga-Zoo-Aussie…

    • What??? Are they for real??! It doesn't even include the cards. But at least now I have an excuse for not buying a book…

Feedback from some idiot who paid $80 ($80!) for one of these books from the same seller:

Item sent promptly but damaged in postage - better packaging needed.

You'd be feeling pretty damn ripped off right now. In six months time these will all be flung in the bin when the next bit of gimmicky crap comes along.

        • There are some pretty active parents on the Facebook page keen to see there kids have a full set though

I can't believe she is handling such a rare and valuable artifact with bare hands!

        • +3

For $5000 I'd expect it hand delivered by my pick from a selection of Hollywood superstars.

    • More like a defected copy instead of rare.

    • lol if someone buys it doesn't pay for it (refuses to cancel transaction) and seller has to come up with 10% seller fee.

  • I talked the the local woolies chick. These cards will be coming back during Christmas lol
    So dont go paying $5000!!!

ooppps should have looked at OP link first which says the same thing lol

    • I think it's up there to poke fun than actually sell, just sayin

  • How much does it costs?

    • They're $5 each, or 2 for $8 - same as before.

      • Thanks! …so, Why someone is selling it for $5K??

        • Because they (apparently seriously) believe it is "unique" because it apparently has 2 extra pages.

Yeah, right. Even so, I don't know anyone crazy enough to spend $5000 on a company's marketing campaign "collectable". Ok, Aussie Animals are a great idea for kids and such, but some people are trying (and evidently succeeding) to take advantage of the promotion and lack of stock.

I have 3 card where the background has been printed upside down. I wonder what they are worth as collectors items. A full set would have to be worth squillions.

    • I got 4 blank cards imagine that value

These won't be as valuable or rare as the original ones with the 'special' rainforest page crossword. ;).

  • I still can't believe how many have gone 'ape s**t' over something that doesn't contain apes but everything else…

    It's cardboard… who cares?

I have the complete Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles coin collection from the state newspaper 20 odd years ago = set in its cardboard mount and I wouldn't have it if it wasn't for my mother being pro active about it.

Some crazy amounts I admit, but the genral buzz is what you would expect from parents when their children start to love collecting things.

    • Oh wow thats amazing. Loved tmnt!!

  • We are also going to start the whole promotion again in December, giving out cards and everything. It's going to make the christmas rush much more "fun" for staff.

  • Does anyone know if these albums are available in store for those who missed out on the online pre-order?

    • I guess we find out tomorrow when the new promotion starts instore.
