Hi guy's,

The best feature is not the price but these features, (which I got from the description), 'Humanized design'. 'He Car' and 'Automobile shock'.

The last one 'Automobile shock' is the killer feature I bought this car DVR for mostly, can't wait to try it.

DVR Specs.

  • FULL HD1080P High definition. (Doubt it, me thinks 720P max)
  • 65 degree wide angle lens.
  • G-sensor function.
  • Motion detection function.
  • Support TF memory card, up to 32GB.
  • Humanized design. (WTF?)
  • He car starts automatic recording, auto turn off auto-save off. (He car?)
  • Automobile shock. (Indeed)
  • Recording function while charging.
  • Automatic cycle override feature.

Dealt with this mob many times, shipping ETA is roughly 12 days for me most of the time to NSW. Express checkout with Paypal is available so no need to sign up. No responsibility taken for the 'Humanized design Automobile shock feature'.

Update:

Y'all play nice now on the roads, according to BG, about 115 units sold to Aussies in the past 24hrs meaning 115 extra eyes watching you talking to yourself in the car…..

  • They are getting cheaper. Very good price

  • Does it record sound?

    • Most DVR's record sound but some probably in fairly poor quality.

  • +8

How is 65 degrees classed as 'wide angle'? lol.. at best you might get the car immediately in front of you but that'd be about it..

    • Exactly, no deal

  • +7

I think this is better because there are more reviews and more items sold. Just $16.39 This is also the same unit being sold on ebay for around $25+ - http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-High-Definition-Car-DVR-Ca…

There is a video review after the description.

I am buying one because a courier reversed into my car and damage the front of my car and then claimed I rear ended him.

    • +3

This is one of the most copied models, the proper one sells for around $50.00 -
      http://dashcamtalk.com/dvr-207/
But i agree, at least it has some reviews.

      • +1

Those LED lights do sweet bugger all… just sucker bait but the real version of that dashcam is very good … see youtube. Probably the most copied of them all and the copies are total junk.

        • I agree, IR LED lights are a waste of time (the only use would be if you didn't have your headlights on and you wanted to record…). It is better to pay for a camera which has a better lens for night recording. Your head lights provide the light. Also this dashcam is not discreet enough. You can buy decent ones for ~$50-$60. I guess a cheap camera will show who's at fault but nothing more. Motion detection and shock sensors are good as well - so it records when your car is hit while parked.

    • Bought one of these that you posted, seems to be a safer purchase and a better deal, thankyou :)

      • Yea same

  • Thanks people

  • +19

This is the "he car" version which is much cheaper - the "she car" version is a lot more expensive as it has more accidents to record. Ok bye for now, I'll just be running for my life in that direction…

  • +1

The price "15.99" is an excellent for any DVR or dash cam.
Quality is very poor, especially Lens Angle 65 degree wide angle is not worth to put it up. it is important as bigger as possible angle (fish eye , 170geree). I may even suggest dual cam to record what happens in the rear windows.

  • +2

    Banggood. Bangyeah!

  • +1

Auto recording when the car starts.. does that mean it uses motion detection of some sort… or does it need to be wired in to the cars electrical system?

    • 99.9% of these things operate when you start your car and stop about a minute after you turn it off.
They plug into your cigarette lighter … they get power from there.
Your cigarette lighter only has power when ignition is on ACC or with motor running.
When there is no power through the cigarette lighter the camera turns off… when there is it turns on… a bit complicated but not impossible to figure out … (yawn)
They have a small inbuilt battery but they will only run for a few minutes on that.
They basically have all the same functions… the difference being in picture quality and durability.
If you want something cheap and usable then look for a K6000. They can be had for about $30 delivered. Want better quality then spend more $$$.
There are heaps of fakes out there… even fake copies of the fakes!! This one adv hers may be one of the latter??

Tons of reviews and info on all the fine points of dash cams on the INTERNET.. Look it up… :-( Makes it easier than having people waste their time typing all this over and over and over….

      • +1

        http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Car-DVR-K6000-Camera-Video… proper 1080p K6000 for $27
Fakes about, labelled 1080p but only 720p - banggood even got fooled and sent me a 720p one, but they fully refunded me, let me keep it, and have corrected all the into on the 720p model's page to make it clear.
Dont get taken by a fake - even the seller may not know they are lying to you. Go with somebody trustworthy like banggood

    http://www.banggood.com/updating.html
why is the website always appearing that updating all the time? i never actually see the deal once from this website.

  • +2

    It's not too hard to de-chingishify it….

He car probably just a typo for "the car" - its got auto record when the car starts ( you don't need to specifically press "record" each time you turn on the ignition

The Automotive Shock will almost certainly be a shock sensor. This puts a flag on that particular file segment so that it won't get over-written and your accident video get lost.

These things write small files, for example 2MB chunks of video. Each gets a file date/time and when the card gets full, the device deletes and overwrites the oldest file this allows them to continually record. It's not really continuous at all, it's in "episodes".

Then there is a menu option to "lock off" a particular file segment so that it doesn't get lost. You must do this if you want to save the video of an event, because otherwise the continuous recording would soon overwrite it. The shock sensor does this automatically in response to a sudden impact like a crash.

    • There's likely something wrong with your browser or DNS. Old, out of date, not updated, hijacked by a virus, something. I have been able to see every banggood post using any of firefox, ie8 or Chrome browser.

    • if you want to impress people for your ingorance, you did it! well done!

    • +1

time to get a new computer? tried OzBargain?

    • May be you're using an operating system other than English? I was told by Banggood's rep that if I use like a Chinese version system it's not gonna work.

I have no idea why but apparently they are not willing to update their system so it's really a bit of hit and miss.

      • Thx, i got the problem.
But it is not my pc's problem, the website is not accept any other system but english.

    • Why on earth would you neg a deal because YOUR computer has a fault? good god talk about unfair.
      We so need computer licences

      • +1

where did u get licences from?

  • +4

Don't waste your money on this rubbish.

  • +2

When the camera costs less than the memory card it's time to stop and have a good hard look at yourself.

    • +1

I concluded that I was a bigger cheapskate than I previously thought. Self-introspection is a dangerous thing.

  • +1

save some money and get something better….
get a real 1080P(with real video demo & you're satisfied with the recording, as in you could see the car reg plate CLEARLY)!

the current unit is nothing but another piece of junk that sit in the drawer?

  • +5

A little concerned about the driver of the car taking the video of the Alfa Romeo in the picture.
I think their car is flying off the side of the road about to go down the cliff.

  • Does anyone know any good 1440p cams?

  • pretty good for 16 bucks, although i'm in the market for a cam would probably prefer a smaller less obvious version, but good deal anyhow!

  • Camera is 720P not 1080, confirmed by supplier. Still, not bad for the $$.

  • Excellent description dreamscene!

  • Thanks, I grabbed one plus a 16GB TF card for $27.19 all up

  • can you get two of them, and watch it in 3D ?

    joke.

  • I ordered one of these, and just received this email below. There were some links in Chinese but after clicking them there's no pictures. I emailed back asking to see the pics. Anyone else get this email?

    Dear,
I'm sorry to tell you that your 1.8 Inch DVR from Banggood is a litte dark, so our supplier will change it into a 1.5 Inch one.
The video in the computer will be the same, but I don't know if it is matter , so I just write this letter to tell you that you can choose one from 1.8 Inch and 1.5 Inch.
Here are the pictures of them, the left is a 1.8 Inch one, and the right is 1.5 Inch.
The 1.8 Inch will looks a little dark, but the screen will be bigger, and the 1.5 Inch will be smaller but brighter.
By the way , we have 100 pcs 1.8 Inch in stock now, if you need a 1.8 Inch, we can ship it soon. The 1.5 Inch will back restock in 3 days, so could you please wait for two days?

    Here are the pictures:

    Kind regards,

  • Received mine yesterday, the instructions are all in chinese and the UI was in chinese too (managed to identify the characters for 'language' in the menu though from my old chinese lessons and swap it to english though).

looks like a nifty little unit though, will have to hook it all up and see how well it records.

  • Got mine this week. Seems to have took longer than most others here (came from Fiji!). Tested this morning. Definitely not HD but seems adequate.

Can anyone please tell the optimised settings for the following (Chinese manual is no help.
Turn on automatically when car is on. Record while car is on and for about a minute or so thereafter then go off.

It seems to be currently recording 2 minute clips but loses 30s in between. On its maiden voyage this morning, had one exciting event on the road, but missed it in the 30s between the clips.
