Have $250 worth of gift cards from Myer. Funny it is, but can’t find a good way to get them to use. I would personally prefer to change them into cash or BigW/Woolworths ones. Any good ideas?

If you want any apple products, you can't really go wrong getting them anywhere since pricing is so standard. So may as well use the gift cards on that if u want any apple products.
I need some new clothes, you could alway donate it to me…?
Wait for a BIG sale…then spend it on yourself or buy presents that you need to buy for Christmas, birthdays etc.

Coles split from myer years ago.
I know Coles and Myer split years ago but there must be some sort of arrangement between them. You can still get gift cards with the Coles group and Myer on the same card.
Try using the Myer gift card to purchase a Coles Group and Myer gift card. It depends on the staff member you go to as to whether they will allow the transacton.
There are also websites which will take unwanted gift cards but you lose some of the face value as commission.
Keep an eye on the expiry date.
That's big reason why my company has stopped handing gift cards out, prepaid VISA and MasterCards now.

Bought the ipad mini at Myers on the day on launch $250 plus cash, put it on gumtree for the same price as I bought and sold it for what I bought for in an hour. Bit of hassle but no money lost and there wasn't any lines like official apple shops.Try this - buy anything in Myer, and on top of that purchase, ask to buy some coles Group & Myer Gift cards. I know that they will reject any outright 'swap' arrangements ($200 coles myer paid with $200 Myer), but you are more likely to be able to make the swap with a combo purchase including a real item.
I do this at Coles all the time, convert my Coles gift cards into Coles Myer cards. For example, I'd buy 32.50 worth of groceries, and also buy a coles myer card worth 167.50, pay with my $200 coles gift card. Now I can do more with the card, pay for fuel, groceries, target/kmart/myer etc.I do this with Target gift cards. Make a small purchase then convert the rest of the Target gift card I have to a Coles Group Card. The key is to pull the gift card out right at the end so they don't really have much chance to figure out what you're doing.

What are you usually after? Myer have pretty good sales just before Christmas, as opposed to after Christmas nowadays.
