i use a screen protector for the bottom screen and a clear case that sits on the outside. the case does make it heavy though.

I just got this pouch in my opinion its the best in the market, although its not cheap.

I just use screen protectors. I really should get a pouch but I am lazy. I got these Hori ones (highly recommended on reddit.com/r/3ds) with lots of reviews on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/HORI-Nintendo-3DS-Screen-Protective-Fi…) but I bought them from Play-Asia (http://www.play-asia.com/nintendo-3ds-xl-screen-protective-f…) since they ship to Australia. Took a couple of weeks.
