Plush and firm and medium mattress - any difference?

Is there really much of a diffence from all three matresses? I used to have one of those cheap fantastic furniture deals for couple hundred came with matress & frame, would that be a medium?

I prefer firm mattresses. I feel it supports my back more and to me it is more comfy and I* highly recommend this:

But, it's entirely up to you and your preferences. To answer your question, I found this link very useful:

If you care about your back I would also recommend spending a bit more to find one that makes you the most comfortable, if you are on a strict budget then I guess anything will do lol

    Hope that helps!

  • Usually mattresses that are part of a package, are pretty flimsy. If you are a low weight person then it will be no problem, but if you are heavier, then ask for an upgrade and pay the difference. As a rule of thumb, if a mattress has a lot of foam above the springs, then go for a medium to firm feel…as foams tend to collapse fairly quickly so soft becomes a pit, medium becomes soft and hard becomes medium in feel, after a years usage.
Strangely, if the mattress has a good spring system and a small amount of quality foam outer layer, meaning it is the springs that do the supporting work rather than the outer foams, then there is virtually no body indentations and the support remains effective for 10+ years. The fancier the mattress the more disappointed you will be..
