You can set white balance, shutter speed, iso and exposure in Nokia Cam. You can also fix say iso, and the shutter will adjust automatically, and vice versa. So it's very dslr-like in the way it works. You're stuck with the fixed aperture of the lens though. And one auto focus point I assume..

Not sure why people think this is the best cameraphone as Nokia make another 41MP dumb phone that comparisons have shown has a better camera - the Pureview 808.

You can get them, but most places that still have stock want $500+ for them.
The consensus seems to be that the 808 has a better camera for shots where you can keep it really steady. The 1020 camera is better when you're moving (because it's got optical image stabilisation). The 1020 is a much better smartphone thanks to the newer OS, 4G, higher screen resolution, extra RAM, faster CPU, etc.
If I could find the 808 for $300 or so then I'd probably buy one. As it stands I'll probably buy a 1020.

Tips for anyone wants to buy this phone, go to good guys price match it to get it cheaper. They have 120% price guarantee with the difference. Currently they are doing it for $799. So 799-753=46, 46*120%=55.20. So you can get it for $697.80.

Since their price guarantee is 120% of the difference of advertised specials they would work it out differently to what you've come up with.
$799 - $753
= $46 x 1.2
= $55.20
$799 - $55.20
= $743.80
So 120% are not on the advertised specials price and only on their own price, so not as good as OW.

No offence, but i refuse to believe a phone can even match a decent DSLR.
The image quality might be there, but i doubt you have as wide of range of settings, and if you're just using automatic mode on your DSLR, i dont think you really need one…
