If you take this up, be warned. Budget Direct were very difficult to deal with when my wife had a no fault accident. They insisted on us paying the excess, and it took ages to get it returned. We bailed at renewal time as a consequence, and found a better deal elsewhere.
Unfortunately this is normal with most (prob all) insurance companies. The tip is to get the other drivers insurance details at the time and go directly through their insurance company!
I've lodged two no fault claims throughout my driving history. One with AAMI and one with Allianz. In both cases all I had to do was provide them with all the relevant information and let them take care of the rest. Never once was I a single cent out of pocket.
I've used both of those companies too. Actually, I'm still with AAMI. But what happens is that one of the parties involved must actually claim to be 'at fault' and pay the excess before the insurance company will authorise any repairs!
Most times I or my wife have never had an issue. But on one occasion the other party was stalling with their payment, so in order to get the ball rolling on my end, I had to pay the excess and received it back a couple of months (and 2 phone calls) later!

Value in any car insurance is not only relative to the premium amount but also the claims process and payout. I personally place more weight in the latter in my assessment and obviously can only rely on shared past experience of other policy holders.
