$145 - Car Tinting - Darkest Legal Tint. Lifetime Warranty - (MEL)

90
Movieman

Hey Guys,

I'm a long-time viewer, but would like to contribute too.

Recently I needed my car to be tinted, and after numerous calls, found a mob with an excellent product, great service, and amazing price.

After negotiating with them, I was able to secure a price of $145, which is for most sedans/hatches.

I can highly recommend them, and don't believe you can get a better price for car tinting in Melbourne.

Here's the info:

*Darkest Legal Tint
*Film directly from USA
*Most Sedans/Hatches
*First 20 Customers only
*Lifetime Warranty
*Quick Installation

Call Ash on 0435 850 036, and quote 'Movieman'.

  • SunTek is the maker of the film. The tinting is done by allroundtinting (couldnt find their website), and located in Hillside, VIC (NW)

  • looks abit dodgy.. website says only syndey contact.. Ash or his number is not mentioned on the website

looks dodgy - best pricing in Melbourne and then "1st 20 customers only"? What about the others? DO they get overcharged to compensate for the 'loss leaders'?

    • Hi Islund,

      Yes, I completely agree.

And I asked them to provide a BETTER DEAL for us OzBargainers, and that's why I posted it.

They don't overcharge the others; but if you get a few quotes from other mobs (which I did first), you'll see how competitive these guys really are.

I've booked mine in with VIP Car Tint…Honda CRV..$180 (+ GST) all windows except front windscreen and sunroof…They don't really advertise to the public as their business is via dealerships…Was recommended by FadeToBlack (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120055).

For peace-of-mind…I'd spend just that little tad more and go to someone who the dealerships go to…

Call Karen and tell her Nelson with the CRV sent you.

    • Thanks Nelson

    • Hi siu_loong_bao,

This price of $145 is inclusive of GST, and includes lifetime warranty.

The finish will be similar, if not the same.

I only posted because I wanted a bargain price, couldn't find one posted, found this mob, and wanted to share with the community…

      I didn't realise that 'for peace-of-mind…spend more'.

      End Rant.

Just called Ash, $220 is the best price he can do for my Honda CRV…with "Movieman" being mentioned…I stick to my OzB belief of saving money (so I should correct my above comment from

"For peace-of-mind…I'd spend just that little tad more and go to someone who the dealerships go to…"

        to

"For peace-of-mind and saving money, I would go to someone who the dealerships go to…"

        No further words to add.

    • Hey Nelson,

Do you have to send the car to Ferntree Gully? I'm based in the Western Suburbs and will take petrol into account if I drive all the way there to get 1 window tinted. =)

      Cheers.

  • Curious to know if anyone knows how much an i30 should cost to tint (darkest legal)? Tint-a-car has $100 off the Octane until end of October so I'm not sure if that's good or not..

    • I got Aurion tinted by carx.com.au for $250 few months ago.

  • Hi guys,

Just to clarify, the film is by SunTek, hence why I linked to it.

But this offer does not have a link. Hence the need to quote the $145 special 'Movieman'.

Anyone knows a good deal for tinting in Sydney?

  • Anyone know a decent inexpensive tint business on the Gold Coast? All the ones I've spoken to charge several times the amounts any of these mobs are talking about.

    • Would like to know too.

      • If you're both willing to drive to Brisbane, I've seen the quality of work from Emily and Shannon from Solar Style Tinting at Eagle Farm. They do all of Brisbane BMW's tinting and the quality is absolutely great.

The cost of the film for these guys is cheap so they can afford to charge whatever they like for their time. Just haggle, ring up and say the guys over at xxx are doing it for xxx but I really like the look of your xxx tint can you match the price?

Also the 'lifetime warranty' normally only applies to the person who owns the car at the time of tinting for 20-25 years from the date of tint, once sold the warranty is voided.

    • xxx tinting?
      Sounds sexy!

      • Why do you think people tint their car windows for?

  • Hello all there is nothing dodgy about my business or my film or my work ive been tinting for over 13 years.
And to the man with the CRV the offer is for sedans and hatchs not wagons

    • Here's their website…

      http://allroundtinting.com/

Would have loved to take my CRV to you guys (as I am in the West), but the price dictates that I go to Ferntree Gully instead.

    • It's alright to be a little bit bodgy and dodgy, if the price is so good ;)

  • Thanks Movieman for all your help
I anyone wants anymore information you can find All Round Tinting in the Yellow Pages, Gumtree and Facebook.
    Thank you

    • How much would tinting the driver's side window cost?

  • When i bought my Honda Euro luxury at one of the Non-honda dealership in the nth shores in Sydney, i added Tints to it and they charged me $500…wat a rip!!!! zzzz it wasn't a new car….

  • carx in clayton uses suntek and johnson films, $220 quoted as well.

  • Hi Guys, Can I have a contact number of his? I have 2007 Hundai sedan and want windows tint if they are in Western suburb.
    Thanks,
    Jason
