Sealy/Sleepmaker - Queen/King Size Bed for The Price of Single. Myer Pitt Street

41

Looking for mattresses in Myer and store Rep mentioned to me that
Sealy and sleepmaker mattresses were on special tomorrow

The gentleman who served me, said the sleepmaker king size (mattress or ensemble) were the price of the single and the lady introducing Sealy to me, said the queens (mattress or ensemble) were the price of the single.

they supposedly have it once a year, also this time they're putting up the deal to help the victims of the Sydney bush fires

Not too sure if it's just Sydney or Australia wide

  • Mmm Sealy Posturepedic with pillow top ftw.

But only at >40% off retail, of course.

  • Price ?

    • Given that two brands are named, I'd assume that it is across the whole range for both brands.

        • I think you're referring to this:

"If you know there is a good bargain or two in a sale, catalog or store, it's a good idea to mention one or even two bargains, in the title, and provide direct links where possible, to those items."

So basically it's suggested practice and not mandatory

        • +1

So basically it's suggested practice and not mandatory

          You missed this bit…

…don't provide enough information to find at least one bargain, may be unpublished.

        • "may be unpublished"

I think the mods will be onto this if it was in that category.

Given it is at a Myer's, the ability to "find at least one bargain" in my interpretation is the ability to find a Myer's with a bedding section.

If that's not how it should be interpreted then the first clause is in contradiction to the second one.

    • From what i saw on the Sealy

one of the posturepedics i remember from the top of my head

      King size - $2600
      single size - 2000

  • Nothing against the poster, but pricing on beds can be a little difficult to gauge.
I cant find it now, but there was a deal recently where the poster supplied some information on what to expect as far as pricing for beds go - basically the ticket price is no real indicator of what you can walk away paying - all the time.
In this instance i would be looking to confirm at least one bed where this pricing cannot be beat elsewhere, otherwise its business as normal for these folk and this pricing

  • the deal is not at all easy to find … in fact i cannot find it on the URL given so can someone please help me or can the mods edit?
