Leffe Blonde - 24 Bottles for $59.90 @ Dans (NSW & VIC Only)

130

Currently available at Aldi for $59.99 (http://www.aldiliquor.com.au/leffe-blonde-24x330ml-6-6) for a case but you have to include delivery. Can get this via click & collect from Dans for $59.90 (and some free delivery codes are out there as I recall - eg http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/120199 - although you might need to add in something else to the order).

Maybe not my favourite belgium beer, but it's still a good drop and decent value at less than $2.50 a bottle.

  • Huh? Am I missing something here…

I think he just wanted to tell us it's not his favourite beer.

      • No, I was saying it is a good beer that has been popular on OZB (eg http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/113920 and http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114628) is now available at a discount that is effectively cheaper than previously seen.

      • @Kamsi

That depends. If you're only used to drinking cheap lager then you're missing out on some nice amber nectar out there.
But if you've sampled many of them then this might not be exactly to your taste.

It's a pity that the darker and bitter version, the Leffe Radieuse isn't on offer as well.
It'd be nice to have both.

This offer does not work in QLD. Due to liquor licensing laws ALDI can't sell grog, therefore Dans don't have to price match it here.

Tested by setting to a random NSW store. Cart price instantly updated.

    • then don't set to qld store and choose delivery instead of click+collect? :)

The ghost of Joh Bjelke-Petersen lives on.

  • yeah its $105 for me (in adelaide) if i click and collect…looks like you can still get it delivered for $59.90 + delivery though.

    • you can't. it changes it back to 105 when you put SA address and get to payment stage.

      • :(

      • I ordered over the phone last week (I am from Adelaide)and my Leffe Blonde arrived today. Paid $59.90 + delivery. Phone operator (and her manager) could not explain why the price changed at payment stage but put it though anyway.

      • They know that when the alternative is West End, you'll pay the price.

$103.99 for me (WA). How to get it for ~$60??

  • So does this have no preservatives?
It's from Belgium. Maybe try another from aldi.
They say German beer is only allowed 4 ingredients so don't have preservatives and result in reduced hangover.

According to Dan Murphy's product details it is preservative free. Belgians take their beer making seriously so I don't doubt this.

In any case this is not the kind of beer you would drink more than a couple of bottles in one sitting so it's the other beers you drink that will give you a hangover ;)

  • Nice beer, but Dan Murphy's NSW also have Hoegaarden for $44.95 per case of 24, which is MUCH more of a bargain IMHO ;)

    • Wheat beer is evil…. ;-)

Seriously, that is a pretty decent price if you like wheat beer. I'm just hanging out for a good deal on Chimay Blue…. a lad can dream…. <grin>

      • hoegaarden is one of the best witbiers but chimay is one of the worst trappist - orval, rochefort, westmalle, westvleteren are all better :)

        • If there were such a thing as a beer trip, westmalle tripel would be it! Crazy beer that puts hair on your chest. Theres a quad that Dan's sells that is pretty average, la trappe was the name

        • Fair points - not a huge fan of the other Chimays, but I do have a soft spot for the Blue… Polished off a few magnums in Hong Kong, and they were pretty darn nice. Saying that, have had some fairly flat ones locally, so maybe they don't travel well….. But they have always been the smaller bottles so maybe that's it……

  • Picked up 3 cases. Thank you.

  • Bought a case and only 20 bottles turned up. Did this happen to anyone else?
