Just saw this email from work but pretty sure it's available to all as it's just a coupon code on their normal website.

Puchase a Nescafe Dolce Gusto Genio machine online at www.dolce-gusto.com.au for the special price of $89 by using this voucher code at the checkout.

Terms of offer:
Offer valid from 14th October to midnight 31st October 2013. Limit to 1 machine per person. Allow 4-10 days for delivery after order processed. While stocks last.

Delivery is $7 if the order is under $100. If you add some of the capsules to get it over $100, then delivery could be free.

I didn't order one as I've already got a Nespresso machine and pretty happy with that but hopefully this will benefit someone else.

  • Does this include a milk frother its unclear in the demo. Do they make milk out of a capsule or something?

I think the Dolce Gusto is the version where the milk is in a separate capsule e.g. if you buy the cappucino capsules, it comes with 2 capsules per drink - one for the coffee and one for the milk

Correct some drinks have a second capsule for the milk.

      • the milk pods contain milk powder and sugar

I have the basic version of this machine, I find it more versatile than the Nespresso machine because this does more than just coffees, it does cappuccinos, hot chocolates, long blacks, even peach teas!

It's true that the milk capsule comes in a separate capsule, so in a box of 16 capsules for the milky drinks you get 8 x eg chocolate capsules, 8 x milk capsules, for Ristretto Expressos, you get 16 coffee capsules.

Note for the cappuccino drinks, the milk capsule does PROPER froth. If you arent a hardcore coffee drinker and like abit of variety, this is for you. The refills are generally 7 dollars a box for 16 capsules.

You can buy the capsules from Coles, Woolies, Big W and Office Works which is also an added bonus for the availability of capsules.

    • You can buy tea capsules for Nespresso at Harvey Norman - they have a few varieties available. I haven't tried them personally but my colleague vouches for them.

I'm not a big fan of these because I'd much rather froth up fresh milk rather than use the powdered milk (my mate's capsules had both the coffee and milk in a single capsule - I think you can get capsules with just coffee and probably do the milk yourself separately). However the Dolce Gusto ones are quick an easy, so each to their own!

    • What is the milk like?

  • I was gonna get one of these but read mixed reviews on it. Also considering the Aldi machine. Anyone got thoughts on that one?

  • This is a great deal. I didn't have to pay any shipping fee for just the machine either; $89 in total shipped to Melbourne suburbs.
