Does anyone know of any bargains going on a self propelled lawn mower for a decent sized block on a hill.
I was looking for good engine? B&S etc.
I was hoping to spend about $400 and I live in Perth if that helps at all!!

Well played.
Much lower maintenance than a goat as well:P
Haha glad you like it ;)
Unfortunately I haven't mowed a lawn in about 10 years so yeah… hopefully you find an ACTUAL solution to your problem!
Check with a mower shop, but depending on how steep the hill, it may not be suitable. Maybe they've changed and can do it now, but these kinds of mowers used to run on a rubber fan belt. If the hill was too steep it would "burn" the belt from too much resistance.
On another note, once I saw a guy mowing a hill with a very steep slope. He was using a lightweight electric mower, with a rope tied at regular intervals along the length of the power cord - and attached to the mower handle, which was folded backwards so it was flat. He just stood at the top of the hill and gathered and released the rope, moving forward one step at a time.
