Has anyone here experience with Usana before ?
Someone is trying to persuade me to join the network with an upfront payment of $375 or $850.
Thanks.

have a read of http://www.pyramidschemealert.org/PSAMain/news/UsanaPyramidS… , esp the last paragraph.
I dont know tooo much detail about it as a scheme, but I know some family members who have joined and it just became a MESS, because you have monthly sales targets or something along those lines? YOu just end up going around in circles buying multi-vitamins or trying to sell to the same people over and over because you need to meet the targets. In the end you end up buying yourself and it becomes quite silly.
BUT in saying that, the end result was pretty much every family member bar one cancelled their membership and we all just use the one membership to buy our vitamins. The vitamins itself arent too bad..
So you are fully aware the whole system is a scam yet still recommend the product? Have you tried a balanced diet and compared the difference?
Thanks for all the input, I will stay away from this thing.
I believe there if you are actually selling a product, then it cannot be considered a pyramid scheme. That's why companies like Amway (and Usana) still exists today.
as opposed to what? selling friendship?
Sorry for my english..
Generally They call you " You win a gift and you have to come in and collect it with your family"(In hotel or big hall). We will give you 30 Min presentation about our product. and they force to buy product or they told you( This product is not for you or you cannot buy this product).
And after few days we found in news paper this company was scam..
Pay little more but buy genuine things..
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I was once told by this lady USANA cures cancer.
True story.
There's always e-cosway too lol.
i've heard worse
i've heard people being told it's their fault they/their family have cancer because they didn't take usana
Geez talk about getting deep and personal…either strike fears into the gullible and/or brings back bad memories of losing family members.
it's a cheap tactic.. immoral but effective. guilt anyone and tell them you are letting your children/parents suffer from illnesses because you are too stingy to spend money on magic pills
Some cancer like pancreas, ovarian, etc. can be prevented as they are caused by a bacteria. Not defending usana just stating the facts
Er..I said "cures" in my post, not prevention.
Much prefer to buy or promote things from iHerb!
multi level marketing
stopped reading there. looks dodgy
Definitely a scam. It's essentially a hybrid pyramid scheme (masking as 'multi-level marketing') and cult. From my observations in Australia they generally target less well educated Asians. Stay well away.
as with all pyramid selling schemes, you'll be making pennies (if you are lucky) while someone up the top gets all the money
