Good deal, be wary of the 00:45 arrival at Singapore

jetstar flys like 3 times per day and will beat any competitor's flight by %10

"on the same day as the applicable Jetstar flight, in the case of direct Jetstar Airways (JQ) or Jetstar Asia (3K) flights between Australia and other Jetstar international destinations or New Zealand and other Jetstar international destinations"

      jetstar price beat number: 1300 369 516

        • +2

          yeah well i'm a tight arse… :D

      • Why would you fly JetScum? All you're doing is killing off the competition. The end result will be less deals/discounts like this in the future.

        • +1

Yea I've noticed this trend too, people are killing competitors who initiate such discounts…

        • Hardly on promotional rates they make a loss and sell out anyway, it makes no difference to their normal fares. How do you know its not intentional dumping?

Singapore airport's like a mini city, arriving past midnight is not a problem unless you rely on the MRT at which time it's shut.

      • not to mention there's FREE INTERNET. oh the time you can spend on ozbargain B)

  • Wish I had known about this- going PER-SIN in Jan 2014 for $500 more in cattle class with Singapore airlines than Scoot's business class

    • +1

Yeah, but you get the singapore girls to look after you :)

  • What dates did you check ? I didn't think Scoot is flying from Perth (yet.

    • it's from the 19th of December as specified in the title :)
most of the dates i checked were in feb 2014

  • Is scoot like jetstar where there's additional costs for baggage, seat selection etc ?

    • +2

Yes, Scoot is a budget airline. Have to pay for food, baggage, streamed entertainment etc.
Personally, I only went a short trip so I had carryon, tablet full of movies, and bought food because it was easier than bringing my own. Paid for extra legroom (but didnt bother with Biz Class). Plane was probably 2/3 full at most, so I had a whole row of seats to myself, the whole overhead compartment etc. The service was good, the flight was on time (early getting back to Sydney). I'm more than happy flying them.

  • I searched June and march and said there were no flights available.. Am I missing something?

    • yeah it wasn't really clear what dates the deal was from - till it just starts 19th dec

  • Cheapest fares to Bali and now cheap to Singapore- Go Perth haha

  • can't find any deals from Perth!!!! must have already sold out.

    • Lowest price from perth got pushed back to Jan 3rd!

    Sweet all booked. 194bucks return
    Departure Fare AUD 10.48
    Return Fare AUD 43.43
Fares Fees & Taxes AUD 116.92
Govt. Imposed Aviation Levy AUD 5.17
    Processing Fee AUD 18.00

Cheaper to fly overseas than to go to Rottnest Island.
Return airfare (base price) to Singapore is cheaper than a one-way taxi fare 38km to Perth Airport (70bucks from memory)

Cheaper to fly overseas than to go to Rottnest Island.

      It's really sad, isn't it :(
Rottnest is a beautiful place but with the ridiculous government landing tax of $15 per person plus the expensive ferry pricing, it makes Singapore and Bali very attractive holiday places for WA people.

Very good deal over the Christmas period, considering I normally have to spend close to $1000 return for Perth-KL/Singapore during Christmas. Thanks OP. Too bad that I have already booked my tickets few months ago, at a much higher price =(

    • check your cancellation conditions…

  • Dammmmmmmmnnn just booked flights to Vietnam recently that worked out to about $6-700 return.

Would have been messy with connecting flights but still about half that price through scoot then a flight from Singapore to Hanoi.

Or could have flown business classs for the same cost…hah

  • Fly to singapore? more like scoot to Singapore.

  • Prices went up for scootbiz :(

  • Who was the one complaining that Perth always misses out on flight deals?

  • +2

i can finally afford business class! \o/

  • there are more cheap flights now for scoot to perth and from perth.
