This camera is actually made in Japan. Must be quite good quality.
The x100 is a brilliant camera, and I love mine to death. It's been all over the world with me, and hasn't skipped a beat.
At this price, it's an absolute steal.
It is an excellent camera! I have the little brother (X10) and a mate has the X100 and loves it! Build solid and sturdy. they're not for everyone though, these are semi-pro cameras and the X100 does not have a zoom which is somewhat limiting, but on the up side, it means amazing shots!
The X100 was a great camera with a few flaws..(notably, pretty slow autofocus).
Just be aware that there is a new model out now the X100S, which has greatly improved autofocus and other neat features and sells for about $1100.
GREY import X100s' sell for about $1100 ours sell online for $1259 as we are an Authorised Australian Fuji stockist - Grey import stock does not come with a real Australian Manufacturer's warranty and has a chance of being refurbished.

As a former owner of the X100 (currently I have the XE1) I personally think the improvements are worth the extra for the newer X100s, even with yours being the limited edition black variety.. But I guess that's for others to decide for themselves..
Still a great camera at a great price… just that there is a better one out there now..
Still that's over $400 extra for that X100s. That's not a small sum of money.
