  • I bought one of these at Good Guys for about $700 during their Boxing Day Sales (xmas 2007).

    v. good machine would recommend to anyone! Just remember to take out the clips that keep the drum in place for when in transport :-P

  • I think Clive Anthony's has the same model for $699

You could probably bargain it down further below $685.

  • Saw this exact machine at Clive Peters about a month ago for $685 (with special RACV 20% off discount promotion) so this is a decent price, but i suggest you go to Clive Peters and they will Price match (and should deliver too if you bargain well) for $699.

  • Just bought a differnt Bosch 6.5kg machine. It has a great range of additional features. Whilst the price tag was a little higher ($899 at GG, but got it for less, inc del, instal, remove old)it qualified for the $150 water rebate because it has a 4.5 water rating. That brings down the price to be comparable to the machine you are looking at.

    • Would that be this one by any chance? http://www.appliancesonline.com.au/p-1587-65kg-front-load-bo…

      If so, any feedback?

      • Yep thats the one! I've only had it a couple of weeks. My first front loader. It does a really great wash and seems so much gentler on the clothes. It is rather quiet, just a bit of a winding up sound as it gets to the really fast spin. Clothes come out almost dry and just seem really fresh! Even with the set wash prog you still have the option of adjusting water temp and spin speed. Its great being able to see time remaining, the wash cycles do seem to be a bit longer than my older TL. Just be sure to neg on price.

        • I think most machines are good to begin with. The real test is to see how long it takes for:
          1) seals to break/mould
          2) pump to break
          3) spin erratically
          4) electronics to die

          • @voter1: 1) Seals normally on;y break when things are pulled out rather than taken out. Mould can be eliminated by leaving the door ajar when not in use and regularly using warmer washes
            2) Pumps in these are fairly generic
            3) Motor brushes will need replacing after about 5 years of normal use (around $200 fitted)
            4) Electronics in these are fairly reliable, but can be very expensive if they fail

I would expect these to last 8-12 years of average use.

  • "Clive Peeeters matched the price … Bargain!!"
Now that sounds like a cunning, cunning, cunning plan… (even though there's no turnip involved.)

Be aware though not all Bosch machines are German made, there are Polish machines floating around as well. You get what you pay for.

    • Many quality products come from poland such as cars and many parts in cars. it is part of EU and must comply with those standards

  • So you are fully up to date on the quality control standards in ALL Polish washing machine factories?
