$43.25 Cash Back When Opening HSBC Flexi Saver Account Via Cash Rewards

40

Not sure whether it's proper to post it here. But I think it's a decent deal in case OzBargainers don't know.

This is newly added on Cash Rewards: HSBC Bank currently pays up to $60.00 Rewards on purchases not including freight, delivery and GST (if applicable). If you use a voucher or coupon code that is not listed on this site, rewards may not be payable.

Cashback Amounts Awarded
$34.50 Cashback on HSBC Serious Saver Account
$31.75 Cashback on HSBC No Annual Fee
$51.75 Cashback on HSBC Qantas Frequent Flyer
$51.75 Cashback on HSBC Platinum
$60.00 Cashback on HSBC Home Loans
$43.25 Cashback on HSBC Flexi Saver ***

*** The best option for now is to open a Flexi Saver (fee free) and get $43.25 cash back.

  • i think "no annual fee" is a credit card rather than an everyday transaction account.

hsbc used to offer $100 for opening an everyday transaction account.

i think you are better off waiting for that

    • Thanks! I will modify this. This might be still OK for now considering that we don't have to make any deposit. Also, we can always close the account after the cash back anyway.

  • Tell us what are the features of this account?

  • I really don't get HSBC: They have a single branch in Sydney and pretty much that's it.
The interest they pay is low compared to UBank.
The number of branches is low compared to NAB.
The monthly fee is the same as NAB.
    What's the benefit?

    • They are luxury bank if you are a HSBC Premier customer.

Probably just the name, cos it is the Hong Kong bank for oversea students.

      • yeah. HSBC premier is good but we found CitiGold to be better.

  • +1

It's not newly added , it was there on Cash Rewards since July…. I applied at Mid-July but no Cash Back received …

    • It seems Cash Rewards put you off if you do not request a payment. If it is over 2 months, just submit a request and they will probably sort it out.

  • Looks similar to RAMS but less interest and $100 more per month.

  • Andrew here form Cash Rewards, I have just private messaged the member who has said they did not receive payment of their rewards to follow up and see why this may have occurred and fix it.

All rewards are automatically submitted and we absolutely DO NOT as a member suggested "put you off if you do not request a payment"

Sometimes the rewards from HSBC take quite a few days to come through and occasionally technical glitches occur at the 'merchant/bank' end. If your rewards do not post just let us know and we guarantee to urgently follow through with the merchant and manually process.

We are focussing on delivering amazing customer service and aim to deliver the very best experience for our customers.

I am please to hear any thoughts or concerns anytime. Any issues we will fix them.

    Regards

    Andrew

  • Can stack with this promo for the credit card?

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115476

and can you apply for 2 savings accounts (flexi and serious saver) and be entitled to 2 cash back?

  • I just opened the Flexi Saver account (4 Nov 2013) and just checked Cash Rewards and now that promotion has disappeared! Do I still get the cashback? When I applied for the account, the promotion was still on Cash Rewards…

    • its not showing up for me neither. I'm guessing promo ended.
