Price observation on HN, insights needed

I have noticed Harvey Norman changed the price for a JVC video camera this way.

$400 -> $988 ->$300

PriceSlice showing it was $400 historically

Anyone seen this kind of price behavior before? I couldn't figure out what's happening here, so any insight appreciated.

If you add the $988 camera to the cart it only comes out as $300. So true prices are the same however they are masking some product pages. It might be their way to more efficiently track referrals from MyShopping.
