Slushy Machine

I'd love to get a good Slushy Maker for parties but they are ridiculously expensive. 2-5k on ebay.
Anywhere locally to get them cheaper? I live in W.A. I've seen those cheap upright ones but they aren't that good, I want a proper decent one, ones I can add vodka to and still freeze.
Maybe renting them would be more economical. Any ideas where to rent them cheaply?

Prices are a bit more reasonable on Gumtree. $1,100-$1,500 preowned…. I don't feel comfortable getting something so expensive without any warranty though…….

    What are you searching for on eBay, there is a lot of sub $1000 ones brand new.

    I just typed in frozen drink machine.

    Those $50-$100 things don't do a good job, I'm after a proper refrigerated unit with a compressor, not something that runs off ice cubes and rock salt :)

      I bought a cheapie retro ice cube/salt slushie machine on sale at kmart a few years back, returned the next day, the lady at the service desk said i was the 5th person to return one that day.
      They were terrible!!!
