  • Ralph Lauren pants . These are wool blend pants and are of very high quality

These are "Lauren by Ralph Lauren", which is the lower quality diffusion line for this brand. Made in China, and seriously overpriced even at these sale prices.

    Donald trump wool suit

Who the heck would want to wear something Donald has tackily slapped his name on? Ignore the "original price"; these are bog-standard low-quality department store suits typically found in the bargain bin the US. Also seriously overpriced considering the quality, with the added downside of not being able to try it on beforehand.

Just because something appears to be on sale with some inflated discount doesn't mean they are good deals. :)

      • Almost everything is made in china, even the flagship Ralph Lauren brands are made in Bangladesh, china and India, Apple products are made in China.. Didn't get your argument about "made in China", if you are trying to imply that anything made in China is of inferior quality ?

      • Anything associated with Ralph lauren .. or Gucci or Prada will be overpriced , I can go to India buy a stack of cloth and get it 10 pants stitched which might be better quality than these— Reality check , people spend on brands, ridiculous amount of money - same brand pants will be costlier in Australia,, hence it is a Bargain

      • You would be surprised how many people would wear suits with the blokes name slapped on it and would want to live in a building with his name slapped on it. There are many other items that are found in bargain bins in US, but not in Australia.

anyway .. the bargain is the 15% off coupon. which can be used on the website for many items above 135 AUD., the examples were just the ones that I thought were bargains..

No, my point is that you're paying a lot of money for something that doesn't represent good value compared to other better-quality options on the market. Not everything Made in China is of low quality, but "Lauren by Ralph Lauren" is not a brand you should be looking at if you're seeking quality.

Seriously, at $50+ for a pair of trousers there are many better value options out there — and you can often find brands at a similar price point (when on sale) that manufacture in Italy or the US. One example? Incotex, which makes clothing in Italy for many of the higher-end European labels and also for Ralph Lauren's premium lines (Black and Purple Label); they are particularly well-regarded for their trousers.

Some places to find Incotex for "cheap" when they have their end-of-season (up to 80% off) sales:

        • Discussion of brands vs brands will take us nowhere. Try explaining a girl why a LV or Gucci bag looks ugly and why the leather of Lv bags is technically no better than leather of many other lower priced brands.

          I will never buy a $365 wallet http://www.gucci.com/au/styles/308794A7MMN1060# ,
I am sure the leather in that wallet is no better than many other local brands, however ppl like to buy branded stuff and for some that wallet when it drops down to $200 would be a bargain.

Macy's is a pretty huge website and the coupon is not restricted to just clothing, if you can find something on that site that looks like a bargain do post here.

Fair enough; I don't have any particular desire to get into some big debate about brands either.

The coupon is useful for other things, so hopefully people will be able to make use of it. I'll give the deal a +1. :)

Stop whining. At least OP went to the effort of posting the deal.
      15% is great @ Macys.

      • Unless it's changed, Macy's adds about 30% on the prices for you being an Australia. So it's nice for them to knock some of that off.
