DREAM
Precocious is a word you might associate with Mozart. But it equally applies to Mendelssohn. After all, it’s an apt epithet for a genius who composed an overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the tender age of 16. Enjoy a magical evening as the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra perform this beautiful work under the guidance of conductor Nicholas Carter in the relaxed confines of the Melbourne Town Hall.
Also on the program is Richard Strauss’ haunting Oboe Concerto performed by ABC Symphony Australia Young Performer Award winner Diana Doherty and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 Italian, which concludes the evening.
Wow, very happy with this. I have front row seats now :D I always love to get as close as possible to the stage.
My second big thanks to tonester today!!
