    They honoured the sales.

  • +1

Just got a call from them, they will honour it, awaiting stock

    • +4

      why did they call you?

    • +1

      Are you trolling?

  • +1

They called to say there was no stock and wanted to know if I wanted to cancel or wait… I guess that's a diplomatic way to try and have me cancel it…as I said I'd wait, they'll honour it

    • +1

They will need make 6000 calls?

      • Maybe… the shop next to where I live gave me a call… the online orders must be redirected this way and I guess it's up to each store to decide how they handle this?

        • Yeah, that's right, they send the orders to your nearest store.

    • got same Phonecall from JB Rep, sounded strange. Good customer service I suppose????

  • +1

they will honour it if the items can be supplied by their supplier.

    • Gan, is it confirmed?
Do you when we expect to receive it?

      • +1

well, that's based on my past experiences with jb-hifi.

Had just ordered one of these:
    http://www.amazon.com/13000mAh-Portable-Dual-Port-Thunderbol…

Extra $5 off with Coupon code ANKERE4B

No shipping to Aus but free shipping to USA address so good deal if you are visiting there.

Didn't really need this one but ordered one anyway.
    DAMN OZBARGAIN!

The Anker one is a good brand and cheaper per mAh than this, and other power bank units are also on sale at significant discount from original price on Amazon so thought this could be legit.

You've just reduced the chance that Sony will supply JH with stocks.. great

    • +12

what's the point of telling them?
think twice before you post it!

it could be your fault if people can't get stock!

        He probably missed out.

It's always the 'if I can't be happy, everyone has to suffer in misery with me' that makes this world such a shitty place. That or just plain stupidity.

From the Sony's reply I don't think it will be hounerd

        • Some dude just posted on that thread that he bought 2 at full price lol.. gotta be an ozbargainer

        • Thanks for the negs. Seriously, you facebook "gurus" never cease to amaze me.

    • Why? Like a child running to the teacher.

  • I find Nintendo 3DS batteries an issue…if this safe to charge a 3DS?

    • -1

I don't think you can unless the 3DS connects via USB, which I'm sure it doesn't.

      • You can get a 3DS USB cable from Daiso. I have one that I use to charge the 3DS via my PC/a USB power adapter, without having to use the actual AC adapter provided, so I guess it could? Might depend on the output I guess.

  • +32

Hope they will honor it, i posted this deal but didnt even buy one lol :(

    • +5

      You are our hero.

      • +2

And then the Hero comes along……….lalala

        • +4

with the strength to pass it on!

    • +1

thank you for sharing this deal.

    • +12

Anyone who ordered more than two should have their cash forfeited for being greedy and thinking of re-selling. That cash should be used to subsidise those who bought thinking of others!

      • +2

I agree! Jb should not honor orders with ridiculous quantities.

    • +10

Yeah but what were you thinking? What were you* trying to achieve? A few likes on fb? We ozbargainers want every chance of this deal going on. We wouldn't want any potential hurdles to get in the way. You should think before posting next time, otherwise just be quiet.

Hey, I'm an RMIT grad, but I know how to shut my mouth (or fingers), can't help people who have a compulsive urge to tell the world.

    • +2

If you do decide to resell them, your chances of making a profit have dwindled. Hope you get stuck with them!

    • +1

And this is why we can't have nice things. People just go overboard with everything these days.

  • +28

I called head office and they seemed to confirm it was a price error however, they'd honour the price it was sold for to those who ordered.

    • You da man Bargain4U :)

    • Great!! Go JB-HiFi Go! I really need it for my travel!
Did they say how long it will be delivered?
Thanks for the effort to make the call!

    • if they can get the stock from their supplier. dont forget that part.

    • +8

      Wow. Thanks mate,

If this is really happening, I will definitely shop more with JH.. (Their prices are good anyway)

I will be happier if they cancel orders with an attempt to profit by reselling(quantities > 3?)

      • +2

I totally agree. Any supplier especially Sony needs to maintain the value of their products. No one wants to give out 9,000 (sorry no, 30,000 units, I completely forgot some greedy people bought 4) and sell the rest at $129 to the rest of their loyal customers. There were probably some calls between the two head offices this morning.

If JbF chooses to honour the price then kudos to them for being such an amazing company. They are certainly not doing it because they want to. They probably did not gain any favoritism from Sony either.

Will definitely shop with them a lot more.

        • I don't think Sony would mind selling 30,000 units.

I'm pretty sure that if anyone is going to take a loss, it won't be Sony.

When these shops pricematch etc, most are doing it at a loss, they hope you become loyal, it's the same as ING offering the 5% cashback.

It will be good PR for them, if they honour the deal, sometimes businesses do the most strangest things, which costs them once, but they hope to reap it tenfold in the future.

      • Should honor 2 per customer/address, max.

  • What, Don't tell me they are honouring it, I only purchased for the free Gift Voucher.
    Now what do I do?

    j/k

    • -1

I'd still be happy if they gave us a 5 dollar discount coupon. :)

    • +2

I will not mind another one ;)

  • Hope you guys get it.. lol.. lot of tension on this page :)
+389 votes and I didn't get one.. grr.. esp since saw it moments after it posted.

    • So tell us why you did not order one? :-)

      • I'm a hermit and never go out?

Nah.. blew my weekly ozbargain budget.. and crashed early last night while I was deciding.. then wake up and expired :/
Although if anyone wants to sell me one (presuming its honored).. :))

  • I got an 18,000 mAh L180X Limeaide which is awesome and has a 2A input for fast charge so no need to purchase this one, but interested to see if JB Hifi delivers the goods or if you guys get Kogan'd/Lenovo'd

    • -3

maybe we should call reading a terrible attempt at cleverness "Getting Cyrax'd"

      • +6

Maybe someone who makes a bad joke totally "Modokuned" it

        • Maybe someone who points out a bad joke should be referred to as getting stinged. that could actually work.

        • Haha yes good comeback

  • Received another order confirmation from JBHIFI and it looks like they have taken my hard earned cash - seems offers is honored!

    • Same story here!

    • Did they call you or just an email?
I still have not received any email nor phone (I think I forgot to provide my phone)
Hope they still honour my order.

  • +1

Just had a call too, to let me now that no WA stores have stock. As soon as they receive stock, they will ship my order. I'm most happy with their follow-up.

    • Just had the same call, maybe up to 2 week wait but looks like its happening :)

They said they had the smaller capacity Sony's in stock, if I wanted to change my order - I wonder if they would offer them at the same price - usually $79?

  • Looks like it's honoured! w00

  • Ended up buying one impulsively, could always do with more power on the go I guess !

However, I have a naive question. Besides this being Sony, is there a reason this isn't a good deal for a cheaper price ? I assumed it was all about the mAH ?

  • Just wondering how many JB gave away.

  • if it is a pricing error, how much are they supposed to be priced?

    • $129 RRP

      • thanks….wtf.. $129.. that means JBHifi is taking $100 off RRP. Not sure it is making a loss if it honours the orders.

        • -3

It won't be that much of a loss in terms of "cost price" for them.

Their cost price is most likely at around $50 or so dollars. Since I can get it for slightly higher than that from Sony X.

So they are really only losing $20 or so per one they decide to send out…. Which isn't entirely bad for them.

Since if the product is good, and you tell your friends about it, they will ask "where you buy it from?" …. and you go "jb" they will get more profits from selling it to you for $129……

It won't take them long to recoup the costs from selling the item at its correct price.

  • +1

bought one expecting it to be cancelled this morning.. good on JB for honouring the price I just hope that there are no jobs on the line.

  • +9

If I know you guys, all JB Hifi deals will get negged after this, if they don't honor this.

    • +8

Nah, it'll be more like everyone swearing to never purchase from JB Hifi again, but never actually going through with it especially if something else cheap pops up.
I haven't seen people (aside from one or two losers) negging Kogan deals (for example) just cause of the S4 error.

      • +2

I feel like negging MWave deals since they refused to honour the free router deal a couple of years ago. Cant forget that!

      • I swore off buying anything again from JB Hifi online after they failed to honour some phone they were selling for which they had actually withdrawn the money from the CC and then had to reimburse my CC (can see money going out and back in again). As tempting as this deal was, I stuck with my convictions and don't regret it at all, so I guess your little theory doesn't quite fit everyone you presumed it will.

  • I haven't received a call but then I checked out via paypal, I'm sure I'll hear from them eventually ;)

  • Received my order confirmation, now wishing I bought more!

    • What order confirmation? I received that as soon as the order was submitted.

  • -3

Does anyone know what's their contact number for online order?

  • +8

Just got an email from jbhifi saying my order has shipped, YAY they are actually honouring this deal :)

    • looks like your local shop has the item in stock..

I have looked through my past orders and saw
there are 2 different Shipping Methods.
      1. Delivery From Store
      2. Australian Shipping.

This order/item's shipping method is "1. Delivery From Store"

So, wrt the calls some people has been receiving, it depends on the local store. How they are handling this imo.

      • JB isn't a private franchise store, so I'm pretty sure if they honor 1, they will honor the rest.
The individual stores have no say in the matter, as the directive comes from their higher ups.

        • yes, i was just referring to the calls received by others.

    • Awesome news!
What time did you get your order in?

Edit: apparently my delivery store is Chadstone I think?

      • no, thats the address of jb hifi online division.

    • You lucky devil, still waiting for my.
