I just purchased a itunes card from australia post, and after trying to redeem it at the App Store, it said it wasn't activated properly, went bk to aus post and was told that takes up to 24h to work. I never had this issue before. I called up apple australia and its very annoying process to get it to work. Is there a actually number if anyone knows? Or aus post can refund me? Cheers.

try using the number from your receipt instead of the card. Some shop assistants don't get the activation process right, and get random numbers instead of typing in the number from the card - I had 4 cards from Harvey Normans where that happened a few months ago, but all the receipt numbers activated properly.
Yeah they need activating. You should just wait the 24 hours. If it still doesn't work - then you should go and inquire about it.
