Upcoming Airline Deals to Singapore or Kuala Lumpur

Hi OzBargainers,
I need a ticket to either Singapore or Kuala Lumpur in early January next year (2nd-4th) from Goldcoast or Brisbane.
Are there usually any sales by Scoot or AirAsia from now till then?
Just wondering if I should buy now (roughly $400 one-way) or hold out and risk paying even more.
Really appreciate your advice

    Buy now..
    My theory is and has always been that flights within 7 days after 1 Jan will always be popular thus it does not make sense for any airline to do a sale. IF there is a sale, it would be at least post 7th Jan if not 14th Jan

    Singapore OR Kuala Lumpur from Goldcoast OR Brisbane. What is your actual origin (best airport) and destination? Can you only do 'one-way' trip? AirAsia get dearer the closer to the date!

    right now airasia from syd melb and goldcoast 2 for one $399 to kl
