The Audio bit sounds like a PhysX style gimmick. A proprietary audio system that only works on some cards is exactly what no one needs. Assuming it falls back to a software method that does the same thing, what is the point? Why not just make you game with OpenAL anyway, unless AMD gives you a huge pile of cash to stick this logo on your game.
Bad news:
"AMD introduced what it calls Mantle, a cross-platform application programming interface (that will only support Windows operating system initially) designed specifically for graphics processing units based on graphics core next (GCN) architecture, presenting a deeper level of hardware optimization."
This bad. Those who remember the bad days of vendor specific video interfaces and 5000 variants of Mech Warrior 2 might know what I mean.
Having to own the right card to play game X (at least acceptably) is a really bad thing. I thought this finally died when Nvidia bought 3DFX.
