    It sounds like a great buy on a nifty device, but, I couldn't find anything that stated whether it's mains or battery powered.
    I'd expect that battery power would be impractically expensive.

    Bit of hunting around reveals that this unit runs on 4xAA batteries (not included).

    Mine arrived today.
    N.B. Despite what is stated in the instruction sheet, the dispenser uses 4 x AAA batteries, NOT 4 x AA.
