Kettlebell Weights at K-Mart for $10 (7.5kg & 5kg)

80

I went into K-Mart Campbelltown today and noticed they had Kettlebell weights with no price. After scanning the price of the 5kg they came up as $10. After scanning the 7.5kg they also came up as $10.

I find kettlebell weights to be the most expensive weights of all so this is a bargain (I hope)

  • Did they have any other weights? I require something heavier like 16 or 20 kg's.

    • Nope. Also don't expect cast iron or anything these are filled plastic and are certainly made just to be as cheap as possible.

If you want to try kettle bells out without much monetary risk than this is a good chance, but they don't come close to a good set of cast iron ones. If you've got a Rebel sports or equivalent near by go and try some out after seeing the kmart ones, the difference in quality is very obvious.

      • Yeah I use them at the gym and they have the cast iron ones. Was looking for some to use at home but considering they start around $40 normally these are probably you get what you pay for.

Here is a comparison pic of the Aldi ones that were on sale a little while back and a Celsius kettlebell from rebel sports, I went to check out the Kmart ones a little while ago and didn't buy them because of the quality. However big w sell some 2.5kg and 5kg ones for a very competitive price which are vinyl dipped cast iron, the 5kg one is around $15 from memory but well worth the extra few dollars.

Sorry I don't have any pics of Kmart ones, but they are seriously bad quality. If you've used a good quality kettle bell then you won't want to touch these. I would rate the kmart ones 1/10, Aldi 6/10, Big W/Celsius 10/10 (although the Big W ones are really light but quality wise it's brilliant).

        • How much is the 16kg Celsius one? (Rebel sport)

        • $72, not cheap but great quality.

Yep, agree with getting cast iron over any other.

Filled plastic can rupture really easy if dropped.

I've also heard cement filled loses water concentration over time, changing the weight (although you probably won't be able to tell that much).

    • They had a set of Dumbbells and 20kg of weight for $29.00, that was the ticketed price, didnt check the scanner.

You must already be fit enough so you can lift them up for the barcode scanner at price display !

    • If you cant lift 7.5kg there is something very wrong.

      • 15kg as you have 2 arms!

  • Thanks for sharing OP

  • Those are very good prices for Kettlebells.
