I dont think this ia a hybrid tuner… if not then this price is NOT a bargain… BTW analogue maybe being phased out, but try and get digital Tv away from the Capital cities and you will soon see the shortfall of any dedicated Digital Tuner. For the next year or 3 analogue still reigns in the country. FWIW Digital usb tuners can be had for 30-40 dollars delivered.
I posted this mainly to see what people would say about it and if i should get it. seems okay.
I think it's potential con is that it doesn't receive analog t.v ?
why would you want analog tv if its being phased out? It already has twin tuners.
maybe the fact that it has no radio reception? no idea if that is being transitioned to digital anytime soon.
Also maybe the fact that they show it being used on a laptop with a tiny little antenna isnt realistic? I have yet to see one of those tiny antenna being reliable for HDTV reception.
they had this the other day, might be the model down?

That one you just linked appears to be a single digital tuner + analogue tuner. The new one looks like it's a dual-digital tuner. :)
I have one of these. It's not a Hybrid one like the one in the link a few posts up (hybrid means analogue and digital). It's got 2 digital tuners which can give 2 channels or used together to give better reception for 1 channel. It works great for me on Vista and a Mac (with the little aerials supplied). I do live in a good reception area). Good remote too, full size, not a toy one like most of these things have.
Perhaps - The Rolls Royce of digital USB TV Tuners - particularly if you have a Mac and Windows.
If you've got a Mac, and can't use a $30-$40 tuner, then it might be a bargain. If you live in an area with bad Digital TV reception, and can't put up a decent aerial, then the dual-signal-enhancement might be a bargain, bearing in mind it needs two aerials to work.
For the rest of us, though… It's pretty unlikely it'll give a better picture than a mid-range Hauppage, or even a cheapie $40 tuner.
Damn, I just missed this one and I've been looking for one of these… If anyone sees a similar deal can you please mention it? Many thanks, tdog
I just ordered this and was about to post it for everyone else.
It's OS X (mac) compatible, which is the reason why i'm buying it. It uses EyeTV software.
A review with more detailed photos of what it comes with and how it functions can be found here:

For a Windows and Mac compatible hybrid USB tuner this is a bargain.
